It took a while to seat us, and it took a long time to get our food. I got the Mediterranean wrap. The cook put all the sauce in only one side of the wrap. The cut half without the sauce was very dry. The bean/mushroom burger is very dry. The waitress, Yosi G., did check on us several times to see if we needed anything else.
We had a group of six people ranging from vegetarians to carnivores, and everyone could something that would make them happy. I had the lentil mushroom burger and while I'm not veggie, I found it delicious.The person who ordered the truffle mac and cheese was also very happy with his selection.
I called and left a message about incorrect hours over a month ago. It clearly states they are open Mondays when you Google it and even pops up the order button. I was sucked in again! Looked online says there open and drive again for ten minutes to have dinner with my family only to find they disregarded the phone message and still not open Mondays. Seriously, how hard is it to change the hours so you don't irritate what was a dedicated customer. I am sure there are others that have experienced this as well.
My wife and I have eaten here in the past and loved their burgers. They also have excellent service. I would pass their rice bowls. We both thought that they were below par and you could get better at other local locations.
My girlfriend and I love to come to ventis to start a night, it has been one of our favorite places to go to in salem. We probably end up here 2 to 3 times a month at a minimum. Tonight we got there a little after 7 and put our order in and went and sat down. Our appetizer came out probably 10 minutes later and we ate that and were still waiting for our food around 7:45 this is when one of the servers there, Shayne, came out and was telling people that if they wanted to stay past 8 they had to pay the cover for the band. Which is fine, he never mentioned it when he took our order though which was still being made (which is usually no big deal, they were busy). He came over to us and told us we needed to pay the cover even though we had been there for almost an hour now and still waiting for food. He told us we had to pay but had no idea we were still waiting for our food. About 6 or 7 minutes later he comes out with our food in to go boxes even though we ordered to dine in and they had no problem with that an hour ago. He essentially kicked us out despite the fact it was their fault we were still there without our food and wanting to enjoy our night out. But nope we were kicked out because we refused to pay a cover fee for a band we didn't plan on staying for and had to walk home with our food where it was cold, soggy, and made incorrectly. We aren't going back and it was over $10 dollars for the cover they were telling us we had to pay so we could stay..... just insanely stupid from Ventis and they ruined our night.
