S L O W service. Great Food!!!!
We were not told they were short staffed until we sat down and waited and waited for our Iced Tea. A server came out and said that they were very busy and we would have to wait a bit for our drinks. From seating to having our ice tea deliverer was about 20 minutes. However, our server took our order when she brought the iced tea and it was nearly another 40 minutes before the food arrived. We specifically went to this place for lunch because they advertise dogs are allowed on their deck. We had 3 Standard Poodles between my friend and I. A couple of miles away, there was a dog show with at least 1,000 show and show related people...many with dogs. We arrived on the deck to find 5 Bernese Mountain Dogs, which was just fine. Show dogs seem to know each other so there was no problem. More dogs were coming in as we were leaving. The food was good. I had a burrito bowl and my friend had a strawberry salad she said was "okay". I would have liked breakfast, but we weren't given a breakfast menu. The people receiving their food after us mostly received breakfasts. The servers didn't have an explanation, but I think all these people ordered before 11. We arrived at 11. Their food came out well after ours did and ours was very slow. Although we enjoyed our meal, it was VERY loud where we were sitting from highway noise. Inside, when we used the washrooms, it seemed too loud for good conversation. If you go with a dog...there is an entrance for you and your dog. It isn't obvious and I believe it was marked as an Emergency Exit. We were not told that and had to get the "boys" through the crowded, loud restaurant to the deck. Fortunately, one of the servers told the Bernese Mountain Dog people there was an exit.
Great place for Lunch
Have taken my Mom there numerous times and it is awesome. The Ruben is huge and fixed perfectly. the other items on the menu are wonderful . The portions are really large
Not impressed and won't go back
Can't complain about the staff, they were kind and friendly.. I feel the food was over priced for the type of place it is, you are in a bar for Pete's sake. I think you are paying fine dining prices for a bar setting. The place was quaint and rustic looking. It is hard to believe that when you order a dish that has a condiment with it, if you ask for more they actually charge you a fee. Really? You have just paid a ridiculous price for the meal and then they are dinging you for extra sauce. It doesn't matter that it's only .25. Are you really that cheap and petty?
Had a great breakfast. We each tried something different from biscuits to a egg scramble and all were great. On the weekend they have a bloody Mary bar that let's you choose from many different garnishments.
Love this place! When we visit family in Canby, it is one of our favorite places. Great menu, delicious food, friendly staff and owner. Rustic decor with plenty of TVs playing your favorite sports. Fun outside seating area that's partially covered. We had our son's rehearsal dinner there and it was fantastic!
