Three and one-half stars…

Disappointed🙃. Went in a half hour after they opened on a Tuesday night. There were three vacant tables, but we were told we could only sit at the bar. None of those tables became occupied while we were there. Another one came available that we would love to sat at though it was not offered to us . A couple that came in when we had been there about an hour were seated after we overheard the hostess tell a waiter she was going to seat the couple who just came in and they were going to be very happy! The steamed clams and mussels were excellent, the steak ok rather rare than medium rare in the salmon, a bit dried out and tasteless. The bartender was great, and the Coors light was excellent. When we finished our meal, we went down and sat on deck chairs by the water which was nice even though a little cold and windy.

Highly recommended locally. Before I explain more, I must say my scallops were phenomenal! Now, to explain my 2 stars. Sadly, the service did not live up to the hype or the food quality! First, it was a cold, rainy late evening when we arrived (not a packed house by any means - 3 tops in use). The hostess Kim seated us at the worst table up against the wall (I, being a large senior citizen, should have insisted on moving - my error) The table beside us attempted to move and was turned down. Along now to the service(Kim was now our waitress), I stated i was driving and would be drinking a soft drink. And immediately ordered 2 starters. We both ordered off of the specials board that was over our heads! Our drinks were never offered to be refreshed or replaced the entire meal. This person jumped when we dropped a knife (good concern) and then asked where is it-, what? It's on the floor, of course (that's what i wanted to say)! When we were half done with the appetizers, she took my friend's appetizer plate without any acknowledgment, though we were not finished. I did not get her name until i asked specifically . This young lady did ask one time if our meal was ok. But she asked before i had tried the main dish. She sped by many times like we were being rushed. I felt like my money was no good here. She did get 20%. I generally tip 35-50%... she missed out. The cook gets the only 2 stars that i gave this restaurant only because the scallops were delicious. Wanda recommended this restaurant (her hair cuts were far better than this recommendation) I have never been so turned off by a waitress.

Exceptional Food and Service!

We finally got reservations for dinner. We've been trying several times when are in town, but they are always booked two to three weeks ahead. It was WELL worth waiting. There were six of us and each of us had a different meal, which was great as we could sample a wide variety of their cuisine. Every dish was beyond expectations. We all owed and add every tasting. This is one of the best restaurants we've enjoyed. Crab Crusted Alaska Halibut -Mouthwatering goodness. Pasta Jambalaya - Best Ever Grilled Sea Scallops - Perfectly Prepared! Linguine and Clams - The Linguine was perfect! Crab Caesar Salad Dressing is fabulous. Daily Special - Salmon with Pasta - Exceptional! The service is superb, and the prices are very reasonable. During the tourist season, plan ahead and reserve a week or so ahead.
