We were ignored. We’re locals and they don’t need our business.
Wow! Stood there waiting for a table for 5 minutes. Didn’t appear to be busy. No one greeted us. Person at the cash registrar seated the couple ahead of us. Then looked at us, went away to retrieve flatware tray and started putting them away. After being ignored by a waitress, we walked out.

Good Burgers.
We had heard that they had really good burgers, so we ordered a couple for pickup on our way back to town. I was skeptical. How many times do you hear that a place has “good burgers” and wind up being underwhelmed? These were very good. They were $15 (including a large side of fries) but they were huge. One could easily feed 2 adults.

People were kind
I depend on reviews. So I will be honest about this restaurant. The staff was kind, but the food was just mediocre. It is a greasy spoon, with nothing special. My toast was dry, and the hashbrowns not cooked to crisp.

Delicious
Perfect home town atmosphere. Loved the train motifs. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the the waitstaff was so friendly.

Disappointing and a waste of money.
My husband and I were staying in Bandon last year and decided to try this place out, as we never had been there before. At the time, mask restrictions were still in place for the state of Oregon. However, most of the employees working there were not wearing masks and they weren't enforcing the mask mandate with the guests either. That should've been our clue to just turn around and walk out. There was a couple sitting in a booth to the left of us and the guy was hacking his head off and not covering his mouth. For that reason, we opted to change our order to go and let the server know. The service was extremely slow and the guy who was our server (a tall older guy) wasn't very friendly at all. After a ridiculous amount of time, we finally got our to-go order. We took our food and drive out to Bullards Beach State Park to eat. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad and my husband ordered the Grilled Chicken Salad. My salad was doused in dressing and my husband's salad had slimy lettuce sitting right on top in plain sight. Neither salad looked appetizing and we were both very disappointed. We ended up tossing both salads and getting a sandwich from one of the local grocery stores, which was tons better than those salads would've been. We make frequent trips to Bandon and have for almost 20 years. In fact, we even got married in Bandon 14 years ago. We had never eaten here before and now we see why. The good reviews for this place must come from people who don't know any better.
