Truly Great Experience
We stayed next door to The Salmonberry so it was a very easy, paved walk from our accommodations. It is one of the few places in town, so does get busy but the wait for a table for 2 wasn't too long at 20 minutes. We had the Ceasar salad and pepperoni pizza. The salad was ok. It was just greens with dressing - no croutons or anything else. The pizza was outstanding! If you like wood fired pizza you have to try it. The atmosphere was really nice and airy. I wish it hadn't been so cold and cloudy/rainy while we were there so we could have sat outside and watched the sunset. If you are in Wheeler and The Salmonberry is open, I recommend you stop in.

Open when they feel like it?
Would love to give this place a review but they were not open. Just a paper stuck to the door saying closed. Since they are the only restaurant in Wheeler supposedly open on Monday this was extremely disappointing. We had snacks in our room instead.

FAVORITE RESTAURANT NEAR MANZANITA!
The Salmonberry is my favorite restaurant near the Oregon Coast! I can’t count how often I’ve been, we bring new people there every time we are in Manzanita! The salads are off the charts delicious & beautiful! There are all sorts of pizza options… from the typical expected variety to unusual and seasonally delicious! The mixology is clever & yummy as well!

Horrible Service
The location is nice but service is terrible. If you have a group of 4 or more do not expect your food to come out in any timely manner. We waited literally an hour and a half for a pizza (single personal, $27) that was ordered at the same time as everyone else's dinner. Mind you, this is counting the time from when the first dishes were dropped from same order. After an hour we had to flag down our waiter and ask him not to bother bringing it as we were already packing to-go boxes-being that our dinner was finished. The waiter was extremely rude, male don't remember his name, and said if we placed an order we couldn't take it back and had to pay for it. We argued saying how we can we pay for something that isn't here. The waiter walked off. We asked to speak to the gm but no one ever came. He packed the pizza we never ate in a to-go box and dropped off our check (with the pizza still charged). Do yourself a favor and skip the headache of this place.
