Stopped in for dinner recently. Sadly because of poor air quality we had to sit inside. Lizzie was an amazing server. She was personable and knowledgeable about the menu except for a good knowledge of portion sizes. We ordered the Brussels sprout appetizer. It was good, but slightly under seasoned and cooked. We normally share an entree (and this is where we had miscommunication). She said that most of their entrees were small so we ordered the seafood lasagna and the halibut. I will agree that the halibut wouldn’t; have been enough for two, but the lasagna would have totally fed us both. It was rich, full of seafood and tasty. The halibut was ok, but I couldn’t figure out what it was served over. It might have been potatoes or it might have been polenta. Still don’t know.

Lovely evening on the patio
On a mild summer night, the patio, the service, the food, is almost magical. We had a wonderful dinner, starting with a fabulous caprese salad. My spouse loved the pork and I devoured the lasagna. Friendly service, decent wine list, a most enjoyable evening.

Open and on target dining & art.
First, let's acknowledge the able & caring curators and dining team. I had a Mediterranean seafood and curry soup. OMG. And, the salad of avocado, arugula, onions & nuts was sooo tasty.

Nice!
This was our second time to visit The Open Door in the last couple of years while in Sisters. This place is a true gem with a great menu, helpful wait staff, and beautiful setting. The Rickards Art Gallery is attached to the cafe so that is a bonus for art lovers. Our group dined outdoors and we had a variety of menus items such as the meatballs, beet salad, Ham Sammy, and soup of the day. All good.
