Friendly local restaurant
Small place and packed. Love that it's a local go-to. Good portions (breakfast), limited menu. It does have amazing buscits and gravy

Breakfast at the Hen
Visiting my daughter at the University of Oregon. Just down the road was the Dizzy Hen. Wonderful breakfast and a friendly, homespun atmosphere. Coffee was fantastic and the homemade English muffin was a real treat. Huge portions and everything was cooked perfectly. Good selection of items to eat, great stop!

What are they doing in Philomath??
I am so tired of "Breakfast Restaurants" that serve bacon/sausage/eggs/potatoes. Don't get me wrong, I like that kind of breakfast but I can do that at home and way cheaper. This place had new ownership a few years ago. Before the new owners it was called "best bacon around'. It had a handful of regulars and that was it. When the new owners took over the menu was a first pass at trying for a step up. It was OK but a little pricey and meh. That was a few years ago. Now - OMG new dishes that are spectacular and reasonably priced. The drawback is the crowd of people waiting to eat. I just had the "Pork Ragu" and it was fantastic. If you are looking for breakfast in Benton county that is not bacon and eggs this is the place!!

Eclectic and Fun
Short, eclectic menu, but with enough traditional dishes to satisfy the unadventurous as well. Efficient, very outgoing owners and staff make each stop like a visit with friends. Liquor and beer license for those who imbibe, and top shelf coffee for everyone.
