Dismal selection and very slow service
We went early, around 7:30 on a Sunday morning. The atmosphere wasn’t welcoming. Very loud music was playing (Rolling Stones, Queen, etc) and it was unbearably hot. Service was terribly slow and normally I’d be happy to browse a good bakery’s selection but there was not much to look at. No breads, no pastries or muffins or croissants. Just two ready made quiches, a couple of cakes/cupcakes, a pan of brownies and one type of cookie. Not really much of a bakery at all, though they did have a menu of standard made to order breakfast choices. We ordered two slices of quiche to go as it was far too LOUD and hot to stay. Even though there were several workers on site, the gal took a full 15 minutes to take the quiche in back and cut/wrap it (we didn’t even have it heated!) A long line formed behind us in the meantime and though staff walked past and saw us all waiting, no one jumped on the register or counter to help customers. We ate the quiche cold in the car. It was actually VERY good.

Charming bakery
Charming bakery/Cafe. Really delicious and well made food, great vibe, and Eva, the owner, is a delightful person. I had the bacon spinach quiche and berry dessert bar which I ordered to go since I started and ended my bike tour of historic barns from the bakery :) Treated myself to a slice of creamy peach pie upon return! This bakery is a must for any occasion.

A Surprising Find in a Charming Town
We stayed in Enterprise on a motorcycle trip through Oregon and decided on breakfast at Sugar Time after checking out their menu which was conveniently located in our motel room. It couldn’t have been a better experience. The coffee was delicious (complete with an AIR POT full of half and half for cream-lovers like myself) and the pastries we had while waiting for our breakfast were awesome. The berry scone was moist and cake-like and not too sweet and chock full of berries. Our breakfast skillets were hot and delicious—the sausages were obviously not some mass-market links and the potato wedges and homemade toast were really really good. My husband’s Cubano sandwich was a genuine surprise because, as a Puerto Rican who spent many years living in South Florida, he knows what a Cubano should taste like! Unfortunately, I absentmindedly left my journal behind that I use to document our travels and I didn’t realize it until we were nearly 300 miles away the next day. I called and they confirmed that I had, indeed, left behind my little green notebook. Eva, the owner, called me back within an hour or so and offered to take it to the post office and mail it my home in Seattle, for which I will be forever grateful. (Thank you, Eva!) Enterprise is a charming town and Sugar Time Bakery helps to make Enterprise what it is. Whether you’re traveling to Wallowa County on two wheels or four, looking for a hearty breakfast or just a coffee and something sweet to enjoy, you’ll be thoroughly surprised by this gem.

Best Ever
I always knew the food/cake here is delicious, but the way Eva decorated the cake was perfect. We had a formal camoflauge party and she came through at the last minute too when our original baker had to cancel.

Delicious baked goods
With a pleasant small town coffee shop/bakery atmosphere, this is a must stop. The selection of baked goods was extensive for a small bakery. I chose the brownies, oh, my! Delicious! Of course I had to get some cinnamon rolls from the day old section. They were soft and melted in my mouth. The bacon cheddar scones went well with breakfast. Be sure to stop here for a bakery treat you will remember!
