Draft beers were on sale but not indicated on the menu, we paid $8 for garlic bread that took forever, was burned and appeared to be a roll cut in narrow slices. Dinner arrived when our drinks did. Not the same management as last time, clearly.
Sorella in Nye Beach is perhaps the best restaurant in Newport and from my experience the best on the central coast. We had dinner at Sorella while we were staying in Newport last June. I ordered the spaghetti and meat balls and my wife had the casarecce alla bolognese. We also ordered some olives as an appetizer. The food was great! This was not the first time we had been to Sorella and every time the food, the service and the experience is outstanding. It was worth every cent, and these days you cannot say that about most restaurants. Sorella is the perfect place for a couple to enjoy a nice meal together.
Food was very good and portions were larger than expected, yes have the tiramisu. Wine selection was just right and very good choices. Megan our server was the best, thank you
This was a great dinner on our 3 day trip to Newport. The restaurant was quite busy by the time we left, but we arrived around 5:30 and got seated right away. Atmosphere is casual (almost sports bar since it had a TV over the bar), but clean and nicely appointed. Chairs were comfortable. Food was really good. We had Lasagna (delicious) and Crested de Gallo (a pesto past dish - a little oily but very tasty). Also, the Focaccia appetizer with oil and vinegar was wonderful because the focaccia was light and fluffy and flavorful. Tiramisu dessert was pretty good. And drinks - a Lemon Drop and a Blackberry Basil Mojito tasted great and definitely did not skip on the alcohol. Will definitely go there again if we visit Nye Beach and Newport.
Casual slightly upscale (for Newport) atmosphere. The waiter/bartender was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wines. The wine I tried was fantastic and different. Food and ambiance was very good. Everything was great, and we enjoyed the experience immensely. We will certainly be back on our next trip to Newport.
