This little place was an unexpected gem. The owner was quite pleasant and very engaging. The menu seems mainly to consist of enhanced appetizer items. We ordered two bowls of the tomato bisque soup and two artisanal flatbread pizzas. Everything was delicious. The wine (Seven Falls Chardonnay for my wife, and King Estates Sauvignon Blanc/Pinot Gris for me) was very good. The place also had a quaint and cozy ambience, which we really enjoyed. We had a great time here after a very long drive from Bend to Hell's Canyon and Dam and then to Ontario.
Our party of 4 stumbled upon Second & Vine rather last minute, but were welcomed and treated royally by Terry. His gracious and inviting manner, as well as the exceptional wine, beer and food made our evening in Ontario a very special night for the final one of our 3 week trip. The lovely little home and garden felt like we had come home to visit a favourite aunt! I highly recommend a stop here - plan to take your time and enjoy the special treats Terry has to offer. Will definitely make it a stop on future trips through the area.
So quaint and personal! Exactly what this world needs! We are TRUE foodies and “wine snobs” and this is one of our favorites! Anyone who gives this place anything other than 5 stars doesn’t even like themselves! Don’t even consider their review as VALID!
Excellent food, beer and wine selections; warm, friendly and engaging atmosphere. Suzi and Terry treat each guest as family; you will feel like you have known them forever. Prices are very reasonable and the food quality and presentation are exceptional. We WILL be back again and again. We encourage you to try this gem in beautiful Ontario, Oregon.
