Good Food Overall with a Few Misses”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) We recently visited Route 99 as a group of three and had a good overall experience. The Brooks burger with cheddar was cooked just right and really hit the spot, and the turkey bacon avocado was fresh and satisfying. It was also nice to see gluten-free options available. Service was friendly, though a little on the slow side. The brisket dip was cooked perfectly and very tender, but it lacked flavor overall—including the au jus and horseradish sauce, which we expected to have a bit more kick. The total came out to about $71 for three people, which is still a solid value for the portion sizes. Overall: A good meal with a few areas that could be improved, but still a place worth trying 👍

Very poor food
Not busy. But food was blah at best. No one bothered with us. Like we didn’t matter. Food was not seasoned. Very very bland

Costly for below average food
It doesn’t look great from outside surrounded by used car lots. But heard the food was great. Inside. Dark. Dreary. Felt like 1979. Menu was lunch. Twenty bucks for a Reuben. With a side. Better be great for that money. Burger 18 bucks. Burger dry over cooked nothing good about it. Reuben blah. It’s a high price for below average food.

Good place!
Good food. And service is excellent. Casual attire with choice of items on menu for everyone. Glad we stopped here and we tried it.

Gem with Great Food and Incredible Service
We met up with some friends for dinner on Tuesday (7/1). We'd never been here before, as we are from out of town, but we used to live in the area. Our friends, who were with us, recommended we all meet for dinner here -- and what a pleasant and tasty surprise to have a meal here! First, the service is wonderful, if not exceptional. Our waitress was friendly, funny, and fast. You rarely have a server who knows the food, but she did, offering recommendations and such. The menu has a lot of choices, and the children's menu offers a wide array of choices for picky eaters. The portions are huge, so plan on getting a "to-go" container. Our entire table loved their entrees; my husband had the Buffalo Chicken Wings with our daughter for an appetizer, and he said they were very tasty. I ordered the BBQ Pork Mac; the macaroni was perfect -- not overcooked or undercooked but al dente. The pulled pork was fork-tender with a slight taste of sweetness, which was nice because some places make their pulled pork too sweet or bitter. My husband had the Smoke Stack, which he said was "tremendous." Our daughters were happy with their dishes, our older daughter opting for the chicken strips while our younger daughter enjoyed her PB&J with fruit. The rest of our table thoroughly enjoyed not only their meal but the experience. The restaurant, including the bathrooms, was very clean. And don't skip the dessert case; everything looks incredible. Our friends treated our girls to a slice of cake each, and both girls said their choices were so good (chocolate cake and the peanut butter and chocolate cake).
