Ask for a Receipt!
We've been going to Riva's in Corvallis for over a decade now. Unfortunately things seem to be changing in a bad way. The food has started to be hit or miss and the prices are getting to be ridiculous. The last few times we've eaten here we have randomly noticed a bad aftertaste and smell in some of our food. It's like bad oil or their not cleaning the grill or changing oil in the friers enough. But what prompted me to write this review is we have started noticing overcharges on our credit card. They do not give you a credit card receipt and they have not required a signature for a while now. The amounts are small enough that most people may overlook it. But after putting money in their tip cup at the drive through it pissed me off. I have not brought this to their attention for fear of them doing something to our food. But I have started requesting my receipt when using a card for payment.

100% quality 24 hours a day!!!!
So happy to have found this spot! Great prices and fresh food. This is THE best mexican food in the area and I have tried almost all of em. I enjoy the simple yet perfect-Chicken burrito. I pay the extra for the added yummy ingredients, but if you want just chicken your only gonna spend $5 and some change. Friendly staff and easy drive-thru.

My Mom's and I favorite place
Since we arrived to United States, my mom and I had to learn to adapt to the new food. We are Peruvians, but at the city where we live there is nothing from our home country. After many dinners at different restaurants, we found Rivas and it has been our favorite place ever since. The food is delicious, the price is cheap, the presentation is welcoming and the service is friendly. They could put a little more effort on cleaning but overall everything is great. We have tried the food at many Mexican restaurants but no other compares to Rivas. We just love it. Food: Rivas has a diverse menu. I have tried its different types of burritos, but my favorite dish is the carne asada nachos. You can modify your order as you like and they have a bar with salads, salsas, spices, etc. from where you can choose to add to your food. Everything is fresh and delicious. The food is always tasty and served warm. Price: The price is right for what you get. My favorite dish is $9 dollars. I do not think there is any plate above $15 dollars. Since I really like the food I really do not care so much about the price; however, when one of my friend’s birthday arrived and I payed everyone’s dinner I got a discount for being a group over 8 people. They know what they give, and price it right. Cleanliness: This is a little drawback. It has been twice when I sat at a table that still had crumbs. I told the staff and they apologized nicely. I might be due to the rush hours but it is not that bad. I like that they always have paper and soap at the bathrooms. This is really important to me since I am kind of a germophobe sometimes. I like that everyone who gets any ingredients from the bar has to use wax paper to hold the tongs. Another important detail is that you can see part of the kitchen when you are ordering your food and it looks tidy. Presentation: The food comes always wrapped. It helps to keep the food warm. You can also read inspirational quotes in the paper. The restaurant’s environment is nice because the walls are painted with a happy yellow and there are decorations hanging all around. Sometimes there is music playing on which my mom and I enjoy a lot, especially salsas and cumbias. Service: Since we have been going to this restaurant for a while, my mom and I know most of the people that work at this place. The hostess is really friendly and takes your order patiently. Even when there is a big line waiting, the workers remain calm and make everyone feel welcome. They always greet you and wish you to have a nice day on each visit. When the food is ready, they call your name and make sure the right person gets the right order. Everyone is respectful and amiable.

Our Favorite!
This is our favorite Mexican food in Albany and Corvallis. They are open 24 hours, have a drive up and sit down available. It's always neat and the food is great. Everything we have tried, we like, but my favorite is the Veggie Burrito sometimes with Chicken added.
