Tasty authentic food served by great people.
Excellent food, fresh and tasty. We ordered the shrimp over rice (husband left the plate clean!). My chicken was tender and seasoned well and I enjoyed the tamal served with it. Our blended Marqurita's were served in a icy cold glass. Enjoyed so much with the meal. The hosts are friendly and always check to see if everything is ok.

Fresh and Friendly
My family stopped here for lunch on a road trip. It was a great decision! The service was super friendly and the food was delicious and fresh! Couldn't ask for better.

Great service and fantastic food. Love it!
We love this place. Stop whenever we come through Brookings. Their margaritas and sangria are great. The house made salsa is perfect. The service is awesome. They are so friendly and fast. Once you sit down chips and salsa arrive and they will top it up any time. The menu is full of delicious options and all are good. You can’t go wrong at Rancho Viejo.

The food was very good, just what we would expect from a good Mexican restaurant. However, the service was terrible. When we ordered our meals, I also ordered a bottle of beer. I had to ask for it two more times before it was brought to me, and that was well after our food was served. We also ordered a cup of guacamole which, we assumed, would be brought out right away so that we could enjoy it as an appetizer which, from our experience, is normal in Mexican restaurants. Instead, it came with our meals. In addition, the waitress did not check on us even once while we were eating our dinner, and we had to ask another employee for our check.
