We stopped at Pronto Pup in Rockaway Beach, Oregon, based on a recommendation from Trip Advisor’s Auto Self Driving Tour. What a great find. We stopped there on a Thursday afternoon in June and it was packed. The parking was challenging but we persevered. Pronto Pup was started by an entrepreneur who suddenly found that his hot dog buns had been ruined. He tried dipping the dogs into pancake batter and a classic was born! The staff were very polite and helpful. We had to wait 15-20 minutes for our dog, but it was worth it. Highly recommend it for corn dog aficionados!

Not a corndog fan but enjoyed this!!!
Great spot! Quick service! Enjoyed original corn dogs and a pickle corn dog! Friendly welcoming staff! I don’t even like corn dogs, but enjoyed this!!!

Fun Stop, Great Food
Cute little stop in Rockaway Beach, they were very polite and fast for such a busy day, they were able to accommodate our request for a smaller amount of ice cream for our toddler, which we really appreciate! The Mechanical Pronto Pup was fun! Recommend if you need a quick lunch spot on the way to the beach, we ordered the speciality Smoked Sausage Pups with Cheddar and Cheddar Jalapeño, they were savory, with the perfect amount of salt

Original Corndog is the best
Rockaway and ProntoPup home of the original corn dog. Don't come here expecting the Normal fair corndog, this is different on many levels. All beef dog and batter is more like a pancake than cornmeal breading. Always served piping hot, and are always top quality. They have a few extra varieties to choose from, and some sides including some nice and crispy tater tots. If you are driving down the coast and happen to be passing through Rockaway Beach, Stop here and get an original Pronto Pup.
