Port Hole Cafe serves you home style food like clam chowder, fresh home baked pies in a clean family style setting. In the Cannery Building at the Port of Gold Beach, Oregon. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean at the mouth of the mighty Rogue River.
We both had different hamburger plates and bowls of clam chowder. Our server was very good and attentive, food was excellent and what a fair price. The menu was full of wonderful choices, don't miss this homerun if your in town.
Table with a view!
Nice spot by the dock ... Nice to have a table with a view... It was busy but we were seated fairly quick... Food is good and has a nice selection of seafood... Good customer service..
Nice little spot
Very busy as they are the Only restaurant in town open seven days a week. Loved the steamed clams. Most everything is fried,no grilled fish.
Excellent food friendly service
The Porthole restaurant is a family owned business that has been in business for many years. Visited while on a fishing trip. The food is excellent, made from scratch and huge portions. I enjoy fried oysters and my grandson had the seafood platter. The food was delicious along with cold craft beer. I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner.
Great crab at reasonable price
4 of us for dinner, 2 had crab dinner with good slaw, crab was so good no room for anything else. 2 had steak and half crab. Steak was sirloin, rather tough but good flavor. Good waitress who was very busy but did a very good job keeping up. Poor liquor choices for cocktails...needs improvement on this part!
