No longer #1
Papa’s used to be our go to pizza in Corvallis. But unfortunately that has changed. The quality of their pizza is about the same but tappings seem to be skimpier now. Their new prices are seriously ridiculous… they charge full price for substitutions, a $4 delivery fee and then ask for a tip.

Struggling to maintain quality and value
Just revisited Papa's Pizza after a few years. This place has been convenient for family birthday parties in the past. The model is an old-style pizza and play area with arcade games for kids. The building is large, with an open dining area and back rooms reserved for gatherings. Unfortunately, prices have skyrocketed, making this a poor value. In this market, a $41.50 pizza is a premium price. However, their large combination includes no peppers and all menu specialty pizzas use canned mushrooms. We asked for fresh mushrooms but were told that was extra. As with many places, the registers were understaffed. A long line waited for one person to take orders at 3 PM. The reserved rooms are not aging well. Furniture and fixtures are worn. The rooms have no windows and poor lighting. Sound levels were high, making it difficult to hear people speaking. Food quality was fair. Crust is a bit heavy and crunchy. Sauce and cheese were good.

Not wheelchair accessible
A large group went for dinner. We have someone that is in a wheelchair and they needed to use the restroom and it was not wheelchair friendly at all. The wheelchair would only go to the door and we had to use two people to get our friend to the toilet. The pizza was pretty average. The cheese bread came out last way after we had eaten our pizza so we just took it to go. I don’t think I would return.

A good pizza at a good price
My favorite feature of this place is the excellently priced pizza and salad bar, with soda, lunch buffet they serve from 11:00-2:00 M-F. If you get on their email/text member list, you often get great deals for the buffet and $10 or more off pizzas, plus they send you a $10 coupon the month of your birthday every year. Pizza is hot and delicious and the service is quick. No need to bus your table, either. Also has a big playroom with things to crawl around in for kids.
