The Offshore Grill and Coffee House is a place where people gather for good food and a good time. Sit by the window and get a peek at the waves or just relax by the wood stove in the winter as you enjoy your next meal or beverage.

Great seafood chowder!
Had the seafood chowder. One of the best ever on the Oregon coast or anywhere! Even though only one waitress working, she kept up with the demand. Eager to try their dinner menu.

Offshore grill - great service ok good
Stopped here for dinner while on a weekend getaway. Really nice staff. Place gets busy quick because it’s not a huge space and they didn’t take reservations at time of this review. Service is five star, attentive and nice. Food… So if you are a vegan or gluten free you will find options and they clearly label their menu as such. They will also accommodate none labeled gluten free. The food seemed bland. Had the chowder. Bland and very little protein. The filthy fries app sounded so good on paper but was bland. The rock fish was good. The bouillabaisse was pricey for the amount of seafood that came with it and the broth was just ok. To be clear, the food isn’t bad it’s just ok.

Nice place on the main street in Manzanita
We stopped in Manzanita for lunch on a Thursday. The first challenge we had was parking. It is a small town, but there are a lot of tourists. We managed to find parallel parking on the street at the east end of the main street. It was then just a block or two walk to the main business district. We had gotten some restaurant recommendations for Manzanita ahead of time, and we saw this spot walking along the street. It seemed fine, so we wandered in. I think they have more of a coffee shop on the left and across a hallway the restaurant on the right. I believe both share an outdoor patio out front. We had gotten large portion meals twice the day before, so I was really looking for something light for lunch that day. They offered a cup of soup and a small salad, so I went with that. Though it was July, the coast was still a bit cool and foggy at that time, so hot soup was a good choice. They offered a tomato soup with a bit of orange. It sounded a bit odd, but was actually quite good. I might cut the % of orange down just a bit if I were making it myself, but the flavor was different and I liked it. The salad was good also. My wife had a chicken sandwich/wrap, I think. She finished half of it and saved the rest for a snack later while we were driving. I enjoyed lunch here and would consider going back if we were ever in Manzanita again.

Order the Special
The chef has a very light touch with local foods. Highest compliments for the pork chop, yams and morels. I am glad to see this spot thriving. (Also, a great spot for coffee!)
