Moes blows
Moes was a destination restaurant for many years, the slow service and excuses of being short handed are tiring. They need to overcome or shut down. It took an hour and 10 minutes to get a couple of chowder bowls and a fish sandwich. The view is always great but moes has lost its way. Will they find their way back?

Not very good.
Mediocre is the word that describes my dining experience at Mo's. The clam chowder had some kind of strange slick on top--other reviewers have noted it might be butter, but I'm unsure. It didn't taste very good. Clams seemed to be scarce in this chowder, too. I ordered the simplest item on the menu--grilled halibut which was okay. Only one of two side options was available: French fries or pilaf. I tried the pilaf--which was flavorless. The lemonade was the most artificial tasting I've ever encountered at a restaurant in this price range. The server was friendly, but it seemed to take a long time after I finished my chowder until the halibut arrived.

Lower your expectations - it's an old Oregon beach town spot
Casual (benches, not chairs), so what are you looking for, folks who scored Mo's down. For those of us who are mid-20th Century Oregonians, Mo's is a very tradition beach town eatery. Nothing fancy, but good fresh seafood, and friendly service. No, this is not 5-star dining, but it is good food at a reasonable price. Oh, and don't miss the peanut butter pie.

Good Food, Good Service
I will start off by saying that I am not much of a sea food person. So I ordered a clam chowder bread bowl, my wife a combo plate and my adult daughter a fish sandwich. All were satisfied and happy. Service was good. But even at 3pm on a weekday there was a 45 minute wait. It was worth it.

Definitely NOT “Award Winning” Chowder
MO’s clam chowder is anything BUT “award winning”. Who puts slabs of butter on chowder? It supposedly has bacon in it, I’m pretty sure it was spam. Ate two bites and left the rest. While the wait staff is friendly, their food sucks. It’s all hype …..don’t believe the billboard advertising.
