    Delicious dinner

This is a classic small town pub and coffee place. Our favorite dinner here is the brisket which is smoked and falls apart with a fork. Salads are fresh and the burgers are thick! Any given night you’ll find locals and travelers alike enjoying generous drinks from the bar and filling meals. Hearty meals and home cooking at its best.

    So sad.

Stopped by on a Monday and found out their hours were Wednesday-Sunday 3-7 pm. Seemed like odd hours since their big signs out front are advertising their espresso and bakery. Waited until Wednesday and walked over only to be told they don't do espresso after 3pm. I asked if they were open before 3pm and she laughed "no" like it was a really funny joke. She explained that the people that know how to make the coffee drinks didn't work Wednesday or Thursday. So I guess if you want an espresso it has to be Friday, Saturday or Sunday if the right person decided to show up.

    Awesome fries!

Four of us stopped in here after hiking around the local falls. We just wanted a snack and a drink. An order of fries fit the bill, both the regular and the sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked. large portions, and served with a good fry sauce. Paired perfectly with the peach hard cider and beer! We noticed the burgers others were ordering, they looked amazing! We will go back!

    Best Burger Ever!

I was staying at a cabin across the street and stopped in here for dinner. I ordered the house cheeseburger and it was amazing! I swear it must have been a half a pound of meat, I barely finished it. Definitely one of the best burgers I've ever had - what a nice surprise.

Out Of Milk But A Triple Shot of Rudeness!

Our past experiences have been very good at the McKenzie Station Pub and Espresso but we just experienced some of the rudest and most condescending behavior ever by a server - the older red haired woman working on 11/14/20. It was actually laughable how rude she was acting. Not sure if she was having a bad day or not happy to be working but we ended up walking out. We were looking for a little “pick me up” after spending hours on our nearby burned property. We we’re just trying to order some coffee drinks - pleasantly I will add. She walked from the kitchen and her abrupt “greeting” as she passed us was, “If you want coffee I am out of milk.” (An “Espresso” place out of milk??? There is a grocery store across the street and a larger market just down the road....). She then walked past us and stood in the espresso area while making no eye contact nor engaging with us. We looked at each other a little baffled on what to do next and then apparently made a mistake by nicely asking if she was able to make hot chocolate - she then responded in a condescending and rude tone - “I DON’T HAVE MILK!” We stated that we thought the preparation of hot chocolate might be different - she said nothing but kept looking away. We just walked out before any other rudeness could be thrown our way. Next time please add some sugar to that especially bitter brew - and hold the triple shot of rudeness!
