Delicious Surprise in Old Town
We stopped in for a light lunch and ended up with an awesome late breakfast. The breakfast sandwich special (fresh-made croissant, sausage, thick sliced bacon, scrambled eggs - at least 3 -, and avocado, with hashbrowns) was delicious and enough to split (which we didn't). There was a special hot chocolate with brandy and butterscotch schnapps was delicious. The prices were very reasonable, server was great. We'll go back!

Avoid
Slow service. Food was expensive for amounts. Got the dinner special was told the side was pasta and it showed up with potatoes, chicken was burnt and oily and tasted like fish. Learnt they use an air fryer to cook food. Fries were various degrees of burnt and not cooked. Gorgonzola burger was nothing to write home about, and battered fish was ok. Very unimpressed with food, feel like I could have cooked it at home and done better. Waste of money, do not recommend.

Pre-cooked isn't good.
My wife made the mistake of trying Mari's Kitchen a second time. Lunch with five friends was entirely forgetful, so bad that my wife brought hers home just to show me. A bleu cheese burger with fries is hard to destroy, but apparently easy for Mari's to make inedible. The burger had obviously been in a warmer for a long time as it was dry and hard all around the edges and not much better in the middle. How long must blue cheese be in a warmer to make it dry and crunchy? Don't even think about ordering anything with fries. The fries that were served were pale, limp and apparently barely cooked. ( I have recently been told that they do not have a deep fryer, I was told they attempt to use an air fryer..........good luck). There are many good restaurants on Bay St., I encourage you to try them.

Wonderful food
Wonderful food - best chicken Marsala I have ever had. Wait staff is friendly and helpful. We often go to Mari’s when we are in Florence for lunch or dinner.

Try the salmon
We can recommend the tasty and juicy salmon with asparagus in basil sauce. Very friendly staff in this familyrun business.
