Just OK
We have been going here for a few years now and originally loved this place. But it seems each time we go here the food and the service is getting worse. The cheese enchilada's (which a couple years ago were excellent) are not that way any more. The cheese inside is like a stick (seems like a mozzarella stick wrapped in a corn tortilla!) but I know it isn't but it has that consistency to it. The margarita's are still excellent, the tostada's are merely a few tortilla chips flat on the plate, covered with beans and cheese and lettuce...not a full round crispy tortilla! If you have a messy meal and request extra napkins.. good luck.. you only get one. Otherwise the place is clean, staff although kinda stingy with napkins are always polite. I would probably go again for the margaritas and tacos are good, but I will bring my ow nnapkins!

Not nearly as good as it was a few years ago.
I did a review on this restaurant 2 years ago & at that time it was pretty obvious that the food was trucked in & heated up. It used to be a wonderful restaurant before they started doing this. We tried it again yesterday & I am afraid they are still using trucked in food & heating it up. It was good, but not like it used to be years ago when they prepared all their food. The plates came out so hot you can to touch them. This is not good. We were not impressed & will not be back. Even the service was not near as good as it used to be. We asked for a few extra napkins three times & never got them.

Very good Mexican restaurant with generous portions
We had dinner here on a Thursday night. The place was quiet, but we were dining at approximately 6 PM. All of the staff were very pleasant and courteous. We shared a fish chimichanga. There was a huge serving and was more than filling for two persons. It was also delicious. The children had cheese nachos and they enjoyed those. That was also very generous serving. More than enough for two or three kids. Plenty of free parking outside. This is a little bit off the beaten track and a few miles outside of town. But it was well worth it.

Food not so good today
My husband & I stopped into La Herradura today for lunch. We had not been here for about two years. We both noticed that the quality of the food was not quite as good as it was two years ago. We always liked their food it was the best in the area. I don't know if it was just an off day but it seems more like the food that is prepared somewhere else frozen & trucked into the restaurants they reheat & serve it. My husband had fajitas & they came out like stir fried veggies not on a cast iron plate steaming. I hope that is not the case as their food has always been so good, but not so good today. Prices are still very reasonable & service is very good.

Best Mexican Food in North Bend
I have family that lives in North Bend and every time we come to visit we make sure to come here and eat. The service is excellent and the food is hot and delicious! And the portions??? You won't need to eat for the rest of the day!
