Always the best.
Always clean and ready to serve you. Looking for great upscale dishes. Nothing better than dinner there and warm up leftovers for lunch the next day. Yummm

Not consistent! Very disappointing!
Every time we came here to eat we would say we are vegetarians. The food is never consistent. We love Thai food and would give it a try again and again and it was never consistent. We ate here the other day and said we wanted the Yaki soba vegan and the salad rolls with peanut sauce. This is what we would eat every time. The waiter came back and said there is shrimp in the peanut sauce. How come they never said it before. I’m so pissed off at them for this. It’s religious reasons why we don't eat meat. If you’re a vegetarian don’t eat the peanut sauce they put shrimp in it. So disappointed! So they probably put meat in all there sauces. Be aware if you’re a vegetarian.

We love this place
Don't know how they do it, but we've been eating dinner here for years and it is consistently good. Service is excellent, and our dinners were delivered piping hot and delicious in under 10 minutes. If you're in Brookings and you like Thai food, this is the place to go.

So disappointed!
Khun Thai has been our favorite restaurant in Brookings. We went last night and were terribly disappointed. Portions have been cut down, the plating is completely different, the sauces were marginal at best. My husband ordered his usual garlic shrimp and remarked the dish didn't taste anything like it had in the past. The vegetables used to be cooked with the shrimp in the sauce and the main dish served separately from the rice. This time, some uncooked and unseasoned broccoli was lined up around the edge of the plate and the rice was served on the plate instead of in its own bowl. The main dish was much skimpier than before. I ordered salmon teriyaki which was seriously overcooked and dry, with a mediocre sauce poured over it like an afterthought. The salmon was sliced very thinly which led to its overcooked state and obviously done to make the serving look larger. I was not given the option to order brown rice (always my preference) and the rice was served on the main plate, taking up half the space. The entire plate under the salmon and rice was lined with a thick layyer of undercooked and unseasoned carrot rounds and a few leaves of bland, tough cabbage. Like my husband's plate, barely warmed, unseasoned and inedible broccoli florets were lined around half the plate as a "decoration" that was obviously designed to make the serving appear larger. I am not a picky eater and hate to give any business a really bad review, but this meal was absolutely unacceptable. It's telling that the server never came over to ask how our meals were. I was hoping that their regular chef was perhaps on vacation and an untrained subsitute had taken over, but seeing the other recent poor reviews, it looks like this is one more restaurant that has gone in the wrong direction. We would have happily paid a few more dollars each for the quality we used to get, but they have evidently chosen the wrong method to save money and we won't be back.

Used to be good. Don't know what happened.
Food is way overpriced and either bland or too spicy. The veggies are barely cooked and difficult to eat. The sauces are pretty much the same and taste like soy sauce.
