In the 80s, Naser started his cooking career with a restaurant in his hometown of Damascus, Syria. A few years later, he opened another restaurant in Saudi Arabia. In 2016, Naser and his wife, Roula, moved to Corvallis to be closer to two of their children, who were attending OSU. After years of delighting gatherings of family and friends with their cooking, they decided to open a restaurant to share their specialties with the local community they have grown to love.

An excellent restaurant specializing in Syrian cuisine and featuring a nice list of local wine. Turns out Willamette Valley Pinot Noir pairs well with lamb. Sativa and the rest of the crew were attentive to our every request.

Absolutely worth a try!
What a find! Half a block from the "riverwalk" along the Willamette, with a pleasant "al fresco" area with umbrellas, and an airy, high-ceilinged dining room. Arabic music meets you at the door, and seating was prompt. Because I was alone I sat at the bar and got superb service from the bartender, who was happy to explain the menu, make recommendations, and clearly loves the food. He talked me into the hummus (and I was thinking oh, come on, Whole Foods has hummus) and it was easily the very best hummus I've ever tasted, smooth and creamy, with piping hot, soft and puffy fresh pita. For the entree I had seasoned ground lamb with tahini and pomegranate drizzle and that was equally delicious. Both were lovely with the Lebanese dry rose they serve by the glass. I have never had Syrian food before but I'm glad I tried it here!

This was a great place for 8 of us to try different Syrian dishes. We ordered a number of appetizers and then everyone ordered an entree. The entrees are large and can be shared if someone is not a big eater. We loved the lamb kebabs, they were the best I have ever had. The pita bread was light and crispy. The decor is a little different and not our taste but that is not the most important thing.

First time visit will be back!
Exceptional staff & food! Drove 1 hr & 45 mins just to try this place and it was worth it! The food was so delicious! From the shawarma to the manoushet zaatar just fantastic! The staff was very welcoming and kind, came by often enough and made sure that all our needs were met before i realized i needed anything. Will definitely be back.

Hidden gem - fantastic food!
The food was very tasty! They provide a menu with pictures for people who are not familiar with the Syrian food they offer. We had the lamb, and the Shawarma chicken, both fantastic! We also got an appetizer. I can’t recall what the name was, but it was chicken rolls that came with a white cup that was a little thicker consistency. That was my son‘s favorite part of the meal! The service was great and the server was very friendly. I would highly recommend trying this restaurant out!
