Restaurateurs Rob & Anny Harvey, (voted favorite owners 2013) have opened their second restaurant in Ashland. 'Harvey's Place', the newest addition to the dining scene, is located in the former Chateaulin space. The menu takes influence from the pacific Northwest, focusing on comfort, quality, and simplicity.

This is a very friendly place with excellent service and food. It looks like a country pub in England, and the food would be right at home there. We go to Ashland for lengthy periods (about ten days most years) for theater and somehow missed Harvey's until this year. I don't know why; it is just around the corner from the theaters, and the kitchen and staff are accustomed to feeding theater goers in a hurry, so it's ideally situated. It's now on our A list, and we'll be back.

We went with friends who chose the restaurant. We are vegetarian and were disappointed and somewhat surprised, given that this was Ashland, OR, that there was not a single vegetarian entree. Surely a simple pasta could be available. We ended up with tomato soup and mashed potatoes and an overpriced salad. Service was indifferent. Our server didn't even offer dessert.

This is a wonderful restaurant. Be sure to make reservations because it is only open for four hours. 4:30pm-8:40 pm Thursday through Sunday The food was excellent. My husband’s filet mignon was the best we’ve ever had. Cooked to perfection. My steelhead salmon was also cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was electric. A little noisy but not overly so. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. A little gem in this lovely city

A- mazing !
Greatest experience!! The staff was fantastic. And my meal was out of the world ! ! I had the halibut special with citrus glaze , polenta , and spinach . Every element of my meal was perfect . Including my cocktail . One of the Top dinners I’ve ever had and I’m 60 and I ve eaten all over the world . Ps Ive never reviewed before but I had to . I will be back !!

Food is average, service is below average
This was my second visit in the last year. First visit we were chastised by host for not having a reservation. Second visit we had a reservation, but, were seated in the bar. There were plenty of vacant tables. Service was inattentive. No offer of dessert or to refill drinks. Food was average, but, fine. I will not go back.
