Highest quality mouth watering steaks and prime rib, tantalizing sih and seafood entrees. Famous Chuck Wagon salad bar. An all American restaurant with that good old west hospitality.

Will no longer go here or recommend it to anyone.
I live in Baker City and have gone here many times over 25+ years. The food was always good but not outstanding though I was never left hungry. I went with some friends for a special night and a few of us decided on the sampler platter with prime rib, brisket and ribs. We all joked that we were going to be taking a lot of food home but when the food arrived disappointed would be an understatement. Each plate had roughly 2 oz of prime rib, 2-3 meager ribs with maybe an 1-2 oz of meat on them and the trimmings of a brisket of roughly 1 oz and a small potatoe, the price was $38 for 6 total oz of meat. I have never felt so ripped off and when we voiced our concerns we were just told a sampler only had small amounts of the items to which I replied small is being generous as a description. No one tried to even pretend to care about all of our dissatisfaction which upset most of us more than the lack luster food we all recieved. After all these years we will not be going back and we will no longer recommend this resturant to anyone. It's sad that it has fallen to this point.

A hidden gem! Fantastic service, and yummy food!
A hidden gem! A wonderful experience! The food was delicious, particularly the brisket! The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The salad bar was fully stocked with fresh ingredients. We made reservations for 13 and they seated us in a larger room with plenty of space. They took care of us. We'll definitely be back.

Total disappointment!
I’ve lived in Baker county for 30 years, and have Had many wonderful experiences at theHaines steakhouse. Approximately three years ago, I ordered a 16 ounce prime rib. When it arrived there was a large pocket of fat that consumed 70% of the steak. When I complained the owner said “yeah there is more fat than normal here but the quality of the meat is superior.“ I told her that I didn’t believe I wanted to pay for 3 ounces of meat. After some argument she returned with Another portion. I have gone there a couple of times since then, and the food was unremarkable. Last night I went to the steakhouse with a large group of friends for a party. I ordered their Shrimp Sampler dinner. The plate consisted of six previously frozen fantail shrimp, three small sautéed shrimp In a bowl of melted butter, And a very small baked potato. The price tag was $30. I complained to the waiter, that the meal was very substandard for the price. He apologized to me two times. If you would like a meal of equal quality, with twice the product, at about half the price, the Oregon Trail restaurant in Baker City is a much better bargain, with superior wait staff. If you want high-quality dining Haines steakhouse is not the place to go, try the Latitude 45. If you like DISAPPOINTMENT head for HAINES STEAK HOUSE, There should be plenty of available seating. We’re done with it!

Anniversary Dinner
Over priced and poor service my wife's dinner was terrible in taste and presentation. Kayla M. Took our order and brought our sodas and that was the last time we seen her until dropping off the food near checking to see how we liked it or if it was cooked right. The next time we seen her was with bill. Celebrating our 30th anniversary this was our worst night out! The salad bar looked like everything came out of container.
