Enjoy fine dining and cocktails on Grants Pass’ historic G Street.
Prior to being G Street Bar and Grill. this historic location was home to The Owl Billiard Parlor established in 1905. The Owl Club was one of the longest-running businesses in downtown Grants Pass formerly owned by a major league baseball player and now home to G Street Bar and Grill.
I read reviews. This is a bar that does live music. We went in for lunch late. The place was not crowded nor loud. The sushi and the menu was great. The bathrooms were clean. We had good service, but there were only four people in the restaurant. The prices were great. I would recommend us to anybody except at peak hours or when the rock ‘n’ roll show is going on.
What a gem! If you're a sushi lover, then this is one place you can't miss! The name is misleading as most sushi places have Asian sounding names, but this place is G Street Bar and Grill. While they have a smattering of offerings for those that aren't a fan of sushi, the two people making sushi are artists. The fish is fresh, the portions are just right, and if you want excellent service with a smile, then ask for Joe! When our favorite sushi place closed, the new one that opened in its place was just okay and we were very disappointed, so someone suggested G Street. We are so glad they did! There's another sushi place in the same neighborhood that also good, but this one is preferred.
Solid experience downtown and good atmosphere. Our party of four, ordered sushi and also two other non-sushi dishes. The beer and spirits were very good while we waited. We got four rolls(Spicy California, Indo volcano, Tiger(Maki) and Red Dragon) and and they came in pretty quick fashion and they were well put together and very tasty. Fish and chips were very good, fries highly under rated, and the chicken and mushrooms(name of dish eludes me) entree was amazing...The only small drawback was the extensive menu, but it is a restaurant that offers something for everyone. I would definitely go back and maybe when they have live music....Great work G street!!
Got good recommendation for sushi here. Arrived at this nice historic building, but inside is drab. One half the room is lit with a fluorescent color light, and the other half is warmer lighting. We ask to sit at a booth away from a noisy toddler running all over the place. The hostess cleared a table and seats us. We wait for 10 minutes, no one comes over. There look to be 2 hosts and maybe 2 servers. I see 1 server helping the family party - actually she's just standing there chatting with them. What's everyone else doing - we don't know. ??? After waiting for someone to at least bring us water, which doesn't happen, we left. I tipped the hostess for clearing the table, but what's going on over there? Terrible ambiance and terrible service.
People are so wonderful there very sweet I love the volcano sushi it’s not soggy or anything it’s the best sushi I think in place in grants Pass also everything they have there is very self-explanatory and non-answer and they really i’m very friendly and so great to see the servers smiles and take any special orders like my niece wanted something specific and they did it for her and she was only eight years old she was very happy and what she got and also my little nephews were there and they were kind of picky eaters but they made some chicken strips that were very yummy and they were not too hard they were delicious and awesome my sister went there and we all had a good meal and it was really relaxing and the waiters were amazing I’m bringing us water and anything that we needed just a very good atmosphere and most of all the people are the best and friendly 😋
