Rude wait staff
This has been a must for me for years, but on this trip the waitress, Elena, was so rude! We stuck it out for breakfast on our first visit (breakfast) but left without being seated when we came for lunch. It was so disappointing. Their Slumgullion is the best, but I just could not with her for a second time in one week.

Unbelievably bad crab cakes
We really wanted to like this cafe. We really did. When we walked in it was cute-ish and warm. We were seated in mish-mashed chairs at a 4 top. (Again, cute-ish). The server was welcoming and sweet. The special on the blackboard was crab cakes for breakfast or lunch I ordered the crab cakes with eggs. Husband ordered chicken fried steak with eggs. My crab cakes came and they were maybe 1/16 th inch thick. There was absolutely no crab meat in them except for maybe a teaspoon. I have never had such a crab cake. I live in a crabbing area and can’t imagine passing this off as a crab cake let alone for $27 for breakfast!!! The toast was marginal at best and the jam was unbelievably bad. My husband was ok with his chicken fried steak, but …,REALLY BAD CRABCAKES!!!!!!! The server was nice but t didn’t know what to do about it. She did her best without the manager there.

Need a yummy friendly delicious breakfast? Try Fishtales Cafe!
What a lovely cafe to “trip over” near the Aquarium. We had a delicious salmon hash with huge chunks of salmon & eggs & sausage & fruit breakfast with some outstanding Marionberry compote. Our waitress Jazzilyn was so customer service oriented, extremely friendly, and helpful. Highly recommend! We will be back! Thank you 😊

Breakfast should be easy
We decided to try this spot after reading the reviews. Everyone seemed to rave about the Marionberry French toast so that was a big draw. I ordered it and was so disappointed. It was two pieces of very cold French toast loaded with a gooey mess sandwiched in between. I only ate a couple of bites and was thankful that the bacon was delicious.
