You don't often think of a truck stop as being a decent place to get a meal. But Eddie's Fast Break Grill is definitely the place to eat if you're hungry and traveling through Hines, Oregon. We stopped for fuel for both our vehicle and our tums. Breakfast! The place was full of both obvious locals and passer throughs, like us. The menu was fully loaded, I was amazed that the three egg breakfast is considered 'standard' now. I guess over the road truck drivers can handle big breakfasts like that. Not me, though. I ordered the "Semi Pro", a two egg breakfast. My eggs came perfectly over easy. The hashbrowns were obviously the frozen type you get from Sisco, but nevertheless were cooked just right. Wheat toast and four slices of bacon, again, properly cooked. Service was busy, the one server was kept hopping but she maintained a cheerful attitude and prompt service, considering that every table was full. The place was clean. The bathrooms were clean with lots of hot water. The price was reasonable especially considering the portions were more than ample. Should I ever pass through Hines again, I will definitely stop and eat there.

Nice surprise!
Stopped here for a quick bathroom break and bite to eat. Entered into the convenience store and followed the signs to the restroom. That’s where the diner was! Surprise! Time for breakfast! They had a wide selection of breakfast and lunches - the portions were large, and the food was very good and served quickly! I’d definitely stop in again..

This hearty breakfast hits the spot
A local told us about this place, affectionately called "the truck stop". Friendly servers, hearty meals and nice and clean due to recent renovations. We tried it once and it's now our go-to for biscuits and gravy every time we're staying in Burns. Although tricky to find (it's connected to the convenience store associated with the Sinclair gas station at the edge of town) it's well worth it.

Awesome Steak and eggs breakfast
Very good, have been back several times for the flat iron steak, eggs and taters! Nice eating establishment. Plenty to choose from!

Had an opportunity to have breakfast a couple of times at Ed's Fast Break Grill. Chicken Fried Stake is plate size and delicious, you will not go away hungry...
