Came in while traveling to try the beignets and my review is I’ve been to France and the French Quarter and the beignets here are the best I’ve ever had. And, the service, atmosphere and all throughout spot on and definitely recommend. We inquired about beignets without the ganache and are so glad we did they didn’t need such at all. We ordered a combo and all so flavorful flakey warm delicious with flavor that needs no chocolate and the service was excellent, friendly, helpful and pretty much perfect. ‘Can we get without the chocolate ganache’ - ‘well yes but course’. Brought us nice cold ice water while we waited on the take-out to be made which was prompt and fresh - and if I’d known their beignets would be that good would have ordered more! Absolutely delicious and the staff made a take-out order an unexpected experience of excellence in service as well as the food!

Easy Otter is located downtown Salem, a few doors down from the Historic Elsinore Theater. We lucked out and found a good parking spot close by. You order at the counter, the menu is pretty simple. I ordered the chicken strips & fries. Once you order, pay & claim your table, the staff are quick to bring your drinks, napkins and cutlery. I was surprised to see 3 plump, juicy fried chicken pieces on my plate (with your choice of dipping sauce). Looked good, smelled good, tasted delish! Every table had a mug full of beautiful fresh flowers, a real treat for the eyes. Most people go to Easy Otter for the beignets, which are plentiful and varied. Me? I’d go for the chicken every time! The only reason I gave 4 stars was because we had to order at the counter. But the chicken? I would give it 10 stars!
