Horrible. The place was great back when it was A & W. The owner (Wayne) was a heck of a great guy and so was the staff.
Rudest waitress I have ever seen. She is abusive to the guests and totally rude. Not sure of her name, but a tall female with glasses and a horrible disposition. I have seen it several times now and will never go back. The pork pulled sandwich was cold, waited 35 minutes for our drinks and almost 50 minutes for our lunch...guess that is why it was cold! The other waitress in there (Jennifer) is top notch and we always enjoy seeing her. How she deals with that other snotty little hag I have no idea.

Unbelievably pure heaven.
My husband and I decided to eat here on Mother’s Day. I ordered a small chicken fried steak with eggs hash browns and gravy. And of course a small Bloody Mary. When I got my meal I was instantly impressed with how nice it looked. And I couldn’t wait to try it. Now, I am older and have been cooking for most of my life but I will never taste anything that comes close to pure heaven again. I was amazed at just the unbelievable quality of the food and for being a small plate it was way too much for me to finish. So of course from now on this is and will always be my most favorite restaurant ever.

So good I got the meat sweats!
I honestly can't wrap my head around some of the less-than-stellar reviews. We stopped in Baker City for just one night, searching for a solid meal—and we struck gold with this place thanks to a quick Google search. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and immediate. My husband and I decided to share our meals so we could try more, and wow—what a treat. I ordered the ribeye with a loaded baked potato, broccoli, and a salad with HOMEMADE ranch dressing (yes, homemade!). My husband went with the prime rib, a loaded sweet potato, and broccoli as well. Now, I usually skip over broccoli at restaurants, but not here. Hands down, some of the best I've ever had. Everything on both plates was cooked to absolute perfection—the ribeye, the prime rib, the au jus... flawless. Even the drink selection was top-notch. The owner was there, engaging and genuinely kind, and you could tell the staff cared about the experience they were creating. It felt more like being welcomed into someone's home than dining out. To top it off, my husband didn’t even leave the skin of his potato behind—there wasn't a single scrap left on his plate. One of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. So if you're hesitant because of a few negative reviews—ignore them. Trust me, we’re so glad we did!

Rude waitress, food bad
Used to be a great place....not anymore. Not sure why they hired the tall wwitress with glasses...think she used to work at the Geiser and she is something else. I feel bad for the other servers having to put up with her. She ignores the customers, and I have seen her cuss and use abusive language towards the guests. Will never go back. Food has been cold twice in a row and was not worth eating.

Table Shark made decide to leave
This is a 'wait to be seated' restaurant. We did and a very nice server acknowledged us, told us she would clean a table for us and be right back. We could see her doing what she said. Then another server went over and talked to our server. We were then told by the other server that our server would clean another table for us while she seated someone who came in after us. The server that greeted us and was very pleasant and had cleaned the table for us now had to clean another table for us because of the coworker. Maybe that was her boss? Doesn't matter. Guests / Diners whatever you want to call us. We notice. We felt pushed aside. And that is no way to treat a coworker or employee. After we got home I wished I had handed our original server a tip. She was cheated out of one by her coworker/table shark. 12/07/2024
