Don't miss this!
Do not pass by this little gem! Got a recommendation from a co-worker and we were so happy we ended up here. We were greeted with a smile, seated immediately, served quickly and cheerfully. The clam chowder was the best, (much better than the potato soup we had the night before) the fish tacos were the best (huge piece of fish) and the halibut fish and chips were the BEST!! Very little breading! Cooked to golden perfection! If I had to say anything not great it would be the fries but there was so much fish I didn't have room for them anyway. All staff members were excellent and professional, but our favorite part was our server Jessie, beautiful and sweet, excellent service Jessie! Best server we have had in a long long time!!!

Kind of disappointed
I have been to Dory Cove Restaurant a few times before. My wife and I and friends went and we were kind of disappointed. First the good stuff: The clam chowder was excellent- some of the best we have ever had. The stuffed Halibut was very good also. The smoked brisket was very good. The not so good: The halibut fish and chips (fries)- the fries were more than plentiful but the Halibut was very small (barely big enough to be called medallions) for the price. Most of the fried seafood food was obviously pre-prepared bagged frozen items. Not freshly breaded or the like. Service was poor. Took at least 45 minutes to get our drinks (draft beer and bottled beers and cider). In fact the chowder and salads arrived before the drinks. Wait staff was unresponsive. The prices were very high for the quality and quantity of the main dishes. If we go back, we will stick with chowder and a drink.

Okay Food
Large portions, Hash Browns were soggy and undercooked, Crab and Shrimp omelet was great, Pancake was overcooked and a bit burnt. 9.00 for a very small mimosa

The best clam chowder
This is the best clam chowder on the oregon coast that I’ve had and I’ve tried a lot! Everyone loved the food. The halibut fish and chips were huge and meaty. The smoked salmon Caesar salad was a huge portion for the price you pay. Everyone working was really friendly. They have a good variety on the menu we will definitely return.

Good service, good food
We each had a cup of chowder and by far the best cream bases loaded with clams chowder we’ve had at the coast ever! I had the shrimp Benedict, the shrimp needed to be mixed with something to stay ON the Benedict, also the sauce was not a traditional hollandaise sauce so disappointing. My husband had the crab shrimp combo salad, the cucumbers were strong (not proper ripeness) but otherwise he said it was great! The service was really good, the flies were thick as they seem to be at every restaurant this time of year!
