Best marionberry cheesecake, tasty cod but clam chowder is just ok.
We eat at Dory’s every time we are on vacation at the coast. This was our 5th time having lunch here over the years. Good: -Beer battered cod was very good. 3 large pieces and not greasy. -Fries were crispy -Marionberry cheesecake is to die for. You better have a piece at the restaurant and take another piece home with you!!! It’s that good!! -Clean restaurant -Clean bathrooms -Our waiter was very attentive to our table Ok -Clam chowder is not that good. We order it every time we come. It’s thick but doesn’t have many clams and it’s tastes like it has a lot of flour in it.? It lacks flavor. It’s more like a thick gravy.

Think twice about going again
Getting a table was no problem, order taken very quickly, less than 5 mins but then nearly 30 minutes to get fish tacos and a BLT and fries?? The food was cold, the stir fried veggies that came with the tacos still had the seeds from the bell peppers and the bowl of chowder was too salty to eat. I had to ask twice for more water...We ate there because of the great reviews so hoping this was just a bad day for the staff..but at the price over 40 dollars not sure if we want to chance it again

Give it a try!
My favorite breakfast/lunch place in Lincoln City. The staff is always friendly. Food comes out hot and tastes great! they currently have a breakfast schedule gone up but still only $7.99 two eggs, 4 pieces of bacon 2 large pancakes!.

Go for the fish and chips, stay for dessert!
Dory Cove remains my favorite place for fish and chips on the coast! I try others when in coastal towns, but this is still the best. Love their 3-piece rockfish and the fries are yummy. This time I ordered a dessert to go…chocolate peanutbutter pie. The slice was so generous it took me 2 days to eat it and it was the best dessert I’ve had from any restaurant. Ever. So good.

Good breakfast and smoked fish, clam chowder was heavy on the flour
We came here for breakfast one morning based on reviews. Parking can be a little tricky, some spaces can be a bit tight. The server was very friendly. Overall the breakfast was really good from everyone's opinion at our table, with one exception. Based on reviews I ordered a bowl of the clam chowder. It had a lot of clams, though unfortunately had a heavy flour taste. I'm not super picky, and not being from a coastal area (I've had way worse clam chowder) I still liked it, but others at the table did not. The smoked fish were great, we took some halibut and salmon to go.
