The clam Chowder was very runny like soup and very bland. The Cajun shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. The ‘garlic bread’ was just dry toast with nothing on it. Very dissatisfied and will not be back

I really enjoyed the food here. Had the captains platter. Everything was cooked to perfection crispy, tender, and flavorful. The weight staff was amazing attentive kind, and made sure all your nieces were met. The atmosphere is quite cute.

One of our favorites in Oregon
We had our dinner at Dooger's one of our nights in Seaside on a recent Oregon Coast trip. We had first gone there on our honeymoon 37y ago. 😊 We have gone to Dooger's different locations on every trip we’ve taken to Oregon. It did not disappoint! The waitress was cheerful and efficient. I had the Sauteed shrimp, and my husband had Linguini--both were excellent, and with hearty portions. We went a little on the early side of the evening, so it was not yet super busy. The location was 2 or 3 doors down from our hotel, so the location was very convenient for us. (Although anywhere on Broadway in Seaside is pretty convenient!) Great place, especially for seafood.

Service and food arrival was pretty slow, but we attributed it to the laid-back atmosphere. The clam chowder was more potato than clams and the broth was watery. Other food was very good and they had a great gluten free menu.

Suits the area well
Of course, a nice touristy little beach town like Seaside would offer good seafood. Dooger's doesn't disappoint. Offering a kind of retro vibe it's homey, comfortable, and unrushed. I will say the chowder is the best I've ever tasted, with lots of substance to it. The crab cakes are really good, too. The service was OUTSTANDING! Our server herself was pregnant, but that didn't slow her down. She had really good support, too. It was a great experience. We had to go to the boardwalk/promenade afterward just to walk the meal off!
