Worst in Town
Stopped in as a party of 6. Had some pleasant interactions with our waitress who seemed to be on top of things. I ordered the "House Specialty". A Chicken Fried Steak Dinner for $15.95! Imagine my surprise when the "House Specialty" turned out to be a small, flash frozen, fresh off the truck microwaved piece of leather that was not fit for a $3.00 sandwich. I POLITELY asked the waitress if it was frozen, and she admitted it was. I handed it back to her and informed that I was not going to pay $15.95 for a flash frozen meal. She asked if I wanted anything else and I declined saying, "Sorry but once bit twice shy". She took it away and soon returned with the rest of the parties' orders. She then launched into a tearful tirade in front of the few customers that were there about how I had no right to talk to her like that (I was very polite and cordial considering the circumstances) or raise my voice to her which I did not. I let her go on for a while but finally enough was enough and I did raise my voice and told her to $%&# off and leave us alone. At that point the cook came storming out of the kitchen acting like a tough guy looking for a fight and demanded to know who was talking to her that way. I stood up and said it was me and told him should learn to cook and stop using a microwave. He ordered us to get out and not come back which I assured him....in no uncertain terms....was not a problem. We all got up and left and glad we did. I see that this place is up for sale and I guess I know why. The only recommendation I have is to avoid this place at all costs.

Awful food
Horrible food. It is not "Fine Foods" by any imagination. The onion rings were under cooked, soggy and dripping grease. It really was gross. Grilled ham/cheese sandwich. Cheese wasn't melted. Sandwich was barely warm. It must have been sitting a bit because one side (bread) was soggy. BLT sandwich. White bread was stale. Tasted like it may have been left over from the breakfast crowd or just old, period. Needless to say, we didn't each much. They took the two orders of onion rings and the ham/cheese sandwich off the bill but still had to pay for the horrible BLT sandwich. They should have paid us. Never going back. And they're slow.

Friendly service good comfort food
Had the chicken fried steak. The steak and country gravy was good. The hash browns were average. asked for sunny side up eggs. The three eggs came on separate plate because the Steak and hash browns took up the first plate.(which means the portions were generous) sunny side up eggs are hard to do and the whites were still a little runny. Very busy lots a people all of the plates ordered on the other tables looked very good. Good comfort food..

Good, filling breakfast
It has been a while since I was able to stop. I did notice the building has been painted a light green. My friend and I had finished our grocery shopping early and decided to have a late breakfast. She had the Eggs Benedict, I had French Toast and a side of bacon. Her Eggs Benedict with home fries was well prepared and she said the sauce tasted home made and was a rich yellow color. My French toast contained 3 slices of "Texas" toast, sliced in half, powdered sugar and butter had topped them. My side of bacon was crisp and cold. I was offered a butter/honey syrup that is a house specialty. I did taste it, but found it very sweet. I do not normally use any syrup. The coffee was hot and a carafe was left on the table for us to use to refill our cups. Water was by request. My friend's fork was dirty, but she obtained a clean one quickly. Our meal cost was $26.50 The place was busy, so service was a bit spotty. We did have a good meal.

super good food and great atmosphere
This is a throwback, down home, family type of restaurant that has a menu loaded with wonderful options. It's a family run place and I believe the owner's were part of the staff working that day. Everyone was very friendly. You can't be in a hurry because everything is made fresh and without a rush. But the wait is worth it. The food was delicious, the portions were large, and the prices were good. Come hungry and take your time to enjoy a disappearing type of restaurant.
