LOUD!! I highly recommend sitting outside if the AQI from forest fire smoke isn't horrible. This place is LOUD when full. You will struggle to have a conversation. The service is excellent. The food is very unique and quite delicious. I had the summer campanella (spelling?) and it was great. But the noise in the place is overwhelming and detracts from the experience.
This restaurant has a really great atmosphere and décor, and we had a pleasant dinner in a little covered outdoor courtyard. The menu has very solid options to suit any tastebuds, even though it looks a little small at first glance. We ordered the garden salad, warm beets, and halibut, and all of the dishes were very fresh and expertly prepared, although the fish was slightly over salted. We did wish that the portions were a bit larger (I was still hungry after the meal) — the prices are what I would expect from NYC or San Francisco rather than a small town in Oregon.
Delicious, sophisticated but unfussy food in a casual setting. The staff to a person was professional, friendly and welcoming. The only downside is it is very noisy, but they offered to seat us in a quieter room . Cocorico is now our favorite restaurant in Ashland, and we will definitely go back!
Given the reviews we had high expectations. While good it wasn’t great. The chickpea tangine was very salty and lamb shank a bit overdone. The salmon portion was pricey for the small portion. The octopus was good but again pricey. The three of us were squeezed into a table for two which meant there was not room for all the plates and glasses.
Started with some delicious cocktails and it just got better from there! The staff were all amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered salmon which was to die for, and my husband's lamb just melted off the bone. So tasty!
