Lunch in the big city
Drove into Corvallis, stopped here for lunch before appointments. Close to sour destination. The lunch special was chicken and broccoli with brown rice. It was very good, generous portions. The staff was pleasant, helpful and efficient.

Yummy very generous portions
Delicious green beans and chicken, yummy sauce with garlic and I think small black beans. Very generous portion for only $13! Appreciate brown rice is an option and no extra charge even!

What a joke… how do restaurants like this stay in business?
When we arrived there was only one other person in the restaurant. We had already seen the online menu and knew what we wanted. There really was not any language barrier but we had to repeat our order three times to the hostess for a very simple order for two straight off the menu. There were no substitutions etc. While we were waiting for our food the hostess came out apologized and reconfirmed our order a 4th time. Unfortunately our order was to go. So we did not find out how screwed up things were until we got home. The proteins we received in our combinations were totally wrong even after reconfirming everything. Chicken in place of BBQ Pork, Beef in place of Chicken… and missing items. The red sauce seemed watered down and hardly had any flavor. The rest of the food was barely passable. We won’t be giving them a second chance.

decent food, reasonable prices
I've been going to China Blue, mostly for take out, for 30 years or more. Fancy is the last word you would use, it's very pedestrian, but the food is usually pretty good, the service quick, and the prices reasonable. I've seen some very nasty reviews on this place online and I don't know why. They've always been polite to me and the food is pretty good. It may not be Chinatown in San Francisco, where I have eaten and the food is very good, but then you aren't paying $15 an hour to park your car, either, and three times as much for the actual food. I like a twice cooked BBQ pork dish you can get, that includes rice, for $11. Fancy, no. Decent food at a decent price, yes. You just want junk, go across the street to MacDonalds.

large portions, decent food but...
We stopped in there for lunch this afternoon. Staff was friendly, and upon receiving our food, my wife found a hair in her dish. they were quick to offer to re-make it and I was pleased up untill while checking out they made the comment that it was most likely HER hair that she had put there. there is a LOT I can forgive, and I understand accidents happen and I was willing to overlook EVERYTHING. UNTIL they suggested it was my wife's fault.
