    Many options for GF diet

My husband and I ate here several times while visiting the Oregon coast both with friends and on our own. I am gluten intolerant and they have numerous options for a person on a gluten free diet. I had gluten free French toast for breakfast, gluten free muffins, gluten free cheesecake, gluten free chowder, and a gluten free fried halibut steak. All delicious. My husband who is not on a gluten free diet also enjoyed all of his meals. He said the carrot cake was the best he’s had.

So. Many. Pies! And great breakfast & lunch!

This place was homey and welcoming and we loved it! There were so many different kinds of pies offered! We had lunch and enjoyed clam chowder and an omelet, both of which were hearty and tasty. My friend had a piece of the marionberry pie. It was the first time she'd tried anything marionberry, but not the last! She tried it just about everywhere we went after that. We passed through here on another travel day and wanted to dine again, but it was after hours. Next time I'm on the coast, I'm definitely eating here again! Great food and friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere.

Breakfast the way I like it

I was delighted to find that I could have my pancakes light, bacon soft and egg whites with hollandaise, with not a single difficulty, bet they would make it your way too. The chocolate cream pie was probably formulated for the very young but I will return.

One of the best Newport restaurants

As a frequent visitor to Newport this is our go to restaurant. Food done very nicely in a very tastefully decorated and very clean venue. Large selection. Exceptionally good sausage both breakfast style and German style. Great service. Located right on Highway 101 at the North end of town.

    Skip this place!

I read reviews and was excited to eat at this place, I am always looking for a great Cesar salad and great Bakery.Walking in the baked goods looked wonderful. We ordered a Cesar salad with chicken, side fries , halibut fish and chips, bowl of chowder and 2 plain hamburger Pattie’s for our dogs . As waitress arrived with chowder it smelled overwhelmingly of onion and my husband said it was onion soup more than a clam chowder. He took only couple bites of 1 piece of his halibut it was terribly over cooked and typically my husband is not a picky eater. He said it was really bad. Fries were good. My salad arrived and I knew I was not eating the chicken it looked horrible. The lettuce appeared good , I did not care for dressing luckily I got it on the side. Unfortunately I ate most of the lettuce and wound up sick for 2 days and could not eat much of anything but broth because my stomach was so sick!!! I luckily did not even take a bite of the chicken in fact I left it because looked so bad I did not want to feed it to my dogs. The dogs patty’s were super over cooked but actually looked best of all the food and they were happy to get them. We will NEVER eat here again and did not try bakery because our meal was so bad. We went to a bakery few blocks away that was amazing.
