    Nice place to eat.

After a long day driving my husband and I were looking for a place near our hotel. I found this place and decided that since we were so close to try it. The waitress was very friendly and apologized for asking us to seat ourselves. ( not a problem). I was given a sample of a hard cider pineapple and loved it so I had to have one. Food was good and plenty. Enjoyed the view as we ate.

    Disappointed in food and cleanliness

Went with friends and wife to get seafood at Captains Choice because our first choice restaurant was closed due to staffing issues. I was told by some locals that Captains Choice had good seafood. On our arrival, we went directed to a booth that was not cleaned very thoroughly. After a quick wipe down we ordered drinks and studied the menu. There was a fair number of selections. We ordered the tempura halibut and the garlic chili shrimp. The couple we were with ordered clam chowder and oyster po-boy. The drinks were just OK- beers were cool not cold. The food was fair flavor wise but the portions were very much lacking. The halibut was four pieces that were 50 cent size including the breading. The shrimp was basically cooked shrimp with sweet and spicy sauce poured over them. The oyster po-boy was reportedly good. The chowder was reportedly just OK. Cleanliness of this restaurant was poor, the floors looked like they had not been vacuumed in days. There were crackers crushed into the carpet under most of the tables and walkways. Between the four of us we dropped more than $100 not including the tip. In my opinion it was not a good value for our money. We will not be returning.

    Captain's Choice

Everything we ordered was perfection. The calamari was the best I have ever had. Also had the tempura halibut and red snapper both excellent. Steak cooked perfect and the clam chowder was amazing. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely come back!

    The Best Choice!

After a beautiful walk at Shore Acres we decided on fish for lunch. This meal was simply divine from start to finish! Order the strawberry lemonade, you won't be disappointed! The sampler plate is the perfect appetizer - shrimp, scallops, and lightly breaded oysters - yum! We compared the cod and halibut fish and chips - both were delicious! Add some lemon pepper to your fries, it is on the table! The clam chowder is a must! From cup, to bowl, to Sourdough bread bowl, we all loved it!! The coleslaw is homemade, fresh and creamy, but not overly saucy. If you don't have room for dessert, take it with you! You won't believe the size of the chocolate cake - rich and delicious! Equally delightful is the BlackBerry pie! A perfect meal!!
