The staff worked in well trained efficiency despite being packed with travels returning from the holiday weekend. The food was hot, large portions, and quite tasty. Supporting local businesses and getting a good lunch makes for a perfect stop.
We were looking for a meal after a long day of traveling. This place looked worth a try. I read some reviews online regarding the cleanliness of the restaurant but it looked clean to me. There were also reviews regarding getting what you order & orders being mixed up. Well the table behind us experienced that, not getting their food how they ordered it. The burgers and fries we ordered were delicious!
It worked for getting something quick but nothing special. Old building,very worn but seemed to be clean. The burger was average and being the only quick food around that I saw, they get a bit more for it than most. It worked in a pinch.
This place has went to garbage. It used to have the best food that people travel from all over to eat. It was part of so many people’s traditions when traveling. I have been going here for decades. I have ordered the same flavor of milkshake for a lot of years. This time it tasted like they dumped the whole bottle of syrup in it and forgot to add the ice cream. It was so bad we drove back to return it. The woman behind the counter argued with us about it. Thinking we were trying to scam her. That after all these years I wanted a different flavor of milkshake. No! I want a milkshake that doesn’t taste like I am sucking on the bottle of syrup. She didn’t want to remake the shake and she didn’t want to refund our money. She said why should we lose money on this when you changed your mind about the flavor. Well why should I lose my hard earned money on something that tastes so nasty I can’t drink it? I am predictable. I order the same things each time at most of my favorite places. This was just nasty. I obviously won’t be back.
It seemed busy as it is right off the freeway and near a busy service station. It’s mostly orders to go. There are only two tables inside and one was closed and one dirty and outside only had a few tables. We walked in and there were flies everywhere. We ordered and paid for our food. She asked for our parking spot number. Huh? Didn’t know anything about that so she asked us to wait on the patio so we did. It was very hot out. Food arrived. I ordered chicken strips and fries. Unfortunately it was the typical frozen type. Fries and tarter was good. I ordered a Carmel milkshake which was good. My son ordered a chocolate shake and he said it tasted like vanilla ice cream with Hershey syrup. Flies were bad outside also.
