We’ve traveled the entire Oregon coast, from Astoria in the north all the way down toward Brookings, eating at restaurants in little towns all along the way. Of all of them, we’d like to congratulate Barnacle Bistro on being the worst experience of the trip. We waited approximately 20–30 minutes just to be seated. After finally getting a table, we waited again for someone to take our order. Eventually, a staff member went to take the order of people who had arrived and been seated after us while we still hadn’t even been acknowledged for our order. At that point, we’d had enough and left without eating. We can’t review the food because nobody ever got around to serving us. Unfortunately, the service—or lack of it—was enough to make this the most disappointing restaurant stop of our entire Oregon coast trip.

Nice surprise, excellent clam curry dish. Not crazy about the chowder. Very popular local restaurant. I would definitely go back, just won't order the clam chowder.

This restaurant used to be so good I couldn’t wait to come back. We’ve eaten here so many times over the years and this time was such a disappointment. We ordered and our food took nearly 40 minutes to get to us. Then my homemade brioche bun fell apart on my first bite so I had to eat my fish sandwich with a fork. The waitress was very sweet and attentive though and kept telling us our food wouldn’t be too much longer. I could tell she seemed embarrassed it was taking so long. The food was average and I don’t think we will return.

Nice staff, easy menu, great food, different choices to pick on what to eat. Whether it's sea food or sandwhich or perhaps a tasty salad or burger everything is fresh and tasty and leave you wanting to return for more:)
