Nice dinner
Here for dinner. Very good service and excellent food. Looks like a great place to have an event in the upper floor. They have a stage so probably have live music. I had the prime rib which could be cut with a folk.

Best place in town!
We enjoyed this place to much. The hand crafted beers, the full service bar, the food was decadent and the service was stellar - what else could you want? Well ... we happened to be there last summer (2020) when a vintage car cruse was happening so we got dinner and a show! I can't wait for the "plague" to be over so we can go eat here again!

We'll Be Back!
Fun Friday night visit. Shared a Reuben and some chowder, both delish! Nice atmosphere with all ages on a busy night. We'll definitely return.

A Good Taste of the Cottage Grove Community
The atmosphere of the Axe and Fiddle is warm, casual and friendly. I enjoyed the special of the day: salmon fish and chips. It does seem that more attention is given to those drinking than those eating.

Delicious quaintness
This restaurant is right on the main street of this historic city. Located in an vintage building. Parking is easy and free. It's a cozy space, but accommodated our party of 11 comfortably. Menu is very unique. We went for Mother's Day Brunch and ordered from the brunch menu. I enjoyed the chicken and biscuits but thought the dill pickle chunks on top was strange with that dish. Pickles had a good flavor but just not compatible with the dish in my opinion. Prices are reasonable. Food was served at an expected pace given the large party. Staff is friendly and welcoming.
