Refuge in a Storm
We ended up here after the place across the street (The Wheelhouse) sat us down and then completely ignored us for 45 minutes. Once we gave up on them, we were fortunate to find Angelo's, where the servers were welcoming even though they too were slammed. We had drinks in front of us within minutes and some bread to tide us over. This lovely family-run restaurant doesn't have the biggest menu ever, but what they put out is oh so outstanding! A live musician (the owner's husband, I think) was playing beautifully. And the setting is cute and intimate. We were chatting with the neighbors and having a great time. Next time, we'll skip the fancy place across the street and head straight here!

Food, wine and song
The wait was a bit longer than we expected, but once seated, our expectations were exceeded. Great wine list, wife tried one she didn’t care for and they replaced without question. The seared scrimp was simple and delicious. The sausage rigatoni was great- excellent marinara, pork was seasoned perfectly. Dessert topped off an excellent meal. Bonus- great young singer songwriter played outside where we sat on the patio. Inside was a Django-style guitar player. Both very entertaining and talented

Nice ambiance, great food.
We had a wonderful meal on the outside patio at Angelo's on a recent Friday night. Live music provided provided a nice background. Our server was pleasant and fast thinking as he quickly entered the pizza for the 8 yr old in the group. Everyone was pleased w their selection: pasta and sausage, eggplant parm, clam w pasta and lasagna...which was really good! Nice wine list and the tiramisu was perfect. Not traditionally seen on Italian menus, the root beer float was a hit as well!

Will we ever get food?
Holy sh__, we put an order in an hour ago, and no food has shown. Not sure what’s going on with the kitchen, but it’s not good.

Small cozy old school family owned Italian with live music
We lucked out a little before 530 in a Thursday to walk in and get seated - the whole restaurant filled up quickly after that and when we left there were several parties waiting. It's a small restaurant that is cozy inside and has some outdoor seating as well. It was unexpectedly romantic when it turns out there was live music via a guitarist and his mascot good boy dog - even sitting right up at the small stage we were still able to hear each other to talk and the music was lovely, on the wall was a mounted electric fireplace. The bread service comes with tomato sauce, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. We shared very good bruschetta, he had the eggplant parmesan which came with penne arrabiata so good he ordered another dish of just the pasta which you can ask for your preferred heat level. I had the ravioli - they had mushroom or cheese ravioli and I ordered the mushroom and received the cheese, they were very apologetic and brought me the right dish and wrapped the incorrect dish for me to go and discounted my dish! Very warm Old World family feel and would dine here again, we left very pleased.
