Here for small dinner. I had a Crown and soda ($7.50) a very good drink for a very good price - normally $11-13! Fried Halibut basket ($24), Fries ($4), Steak salad ($10), Fish Tacos ($18), Craft Beer ($7) and Blackened Mac ($15). All food was nicely presented and tasty. The only hiccup was that our fries came out well before our entrees, so when our entrees came, our fries were almost gone and cold. Nice view of the water from upstairs! Total bill before tip was $90 for four folks.

This is a bar/restaurant in the first and second floor of the lobby of the hotel, including a patio. These are small plates which are good for sharing. The food was pretty good and the service was very good. Drinks are also good.

After reading the 2 reviews I had to check to make sure we were at the same place. Food was very good, small plates so you could share and try multiple items. We've been twice and had fantastic service. View of Nye Beach and Yaquina light House in the distance. Different kind of set up, more like a bar/lounge than a formal dining room. We are local, fun to have something a bit different in town.

The service in this restaurant is absolutely hideous. There were hardly any customers in there and we couldn’t get waited on, even though we were met at the door and told that someone would be with us right away, all our weight stuff which is hanging out behind the bar chitchatting and it took 8-minutes before they offered us water or a menu, and that was only after read loudly complained across the restaurant. There was hardly any customers there they should’ve been waiting on everybody, hand and foot, not socializing. The food came within five minutes of ordering it, it was extremely hot, and the chicken was very rubbery. These are premade dishes that are microwaved to reheat. The french fries were soggy they weren’t crisp. We also found a very long black hair in one of our dishes. The wait staff kept ignoring us as we were trying to get their attention, waving our arms and saying “ Yahoo”. We finally had to raise our voices and the waitresses that finally acknowledged we were trying to get someone’s attention, still didn’t come over, they went to the pile of employees socializing behind the bar that were just standing around chitchatand asked “who’s table is that?”. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, we shouldn’t have had to wait for service, and we certainly should not have spent four minutes, waving her arms around to draw attention to the hair in our food! they shouldn’t have continued to ignore us because it wasn’t their table . They took our dish, did not offer us a different dish, did not offer us cocktails, or an apology, and 3 1/2 minutes later, we had another order of the same dish in front of us. These are pre-cooked microwaved meals. Chicken and mushrooms was not good not only was the flavor extremely mild, but the chicken was like rubber. The chicken enchilada had a foamy white sauce and it was sour, we thought it had gone bad. The homemade french fries were good, though we played hell getting any ketchup, by the time we can get someone’s attention they were pretty much cold. The fried avocado was OK, but it needed a different sauce a creamy white sauce, not a spicy red sauce and the coating was a little too thick. Worst customer service in Newport! This is our first and only visit to this restaurant. The customer service was so bad. We will never come back. We might’ve tried the food again, even though we found a hair in our chicken & mushroom entrée, but with the poor customer service, they’ll never see us there again and we are locals that like to eat out several times a week. PHOTO: 5 employees behind the bar socializing for 8 1/2 minutes while we waited for first contact. This is a bar and they never even offered or suggested a cocktail. We drank water, but we could not get them to bring us more water even after she came by and asked if we wanted more water, she never came back to bring us water. Terrible customer service terrible wait staff, doing their best to ignore the customers during a slow period when apparently they just want to socialize and not actually wait on anybody!? Everything about the restaurant says that they are trying to be a fancy restaurant but with the poor weight stuff they have on and their policy of charging people after they found a long black hair in their food, forget it, they will never last.

#1 ocean view without having to spend a ton of money. Fantastic patio with fireplaces and wind break. Gorgeous interior, the best in Newport. Service was normal. Tapas style food although they don't say so...just "small portions." Once it gets to be kmown it will be a top ten in the restaurants. The Cubana is great but the strip steak salad not so, but they comped me. Great coffee if not the best in Nye Beach. It also has a 10 seat bar with ocean view.
