Emphatically no.
Wow. I’m not sure experience could get any worse. Slow. Servers and bar tenders playing with their hair and then preparing and serving food. Meals sat at heat lamp for painfully long times. Almost 15 minutes for one poor persons order and our guacamole and tostadas sat for almost 10 minutes cuz everyone loves warm guacamole. Gross. Dinner was good but not even close to great and definitely not worth the price charged. Would we come back? Emphatically no. If this is every experience, they’ll be out of business soon. Too bad

Epicurean Mexican Delights
Attended a Tequila Tasting Event at Adobe …Wow! Wow! Lots to report on this relatively new establishment in downtown Salem (housed in the former Epilogue Space). Now - Confessions first. I am allergic to Tequila - severely. This event was a work thing with hubs, his boss and staff members, as well as others. So no Tequila for me! Also, I confessed to the lovely Itzel Sagastume, Adobe owner along with husband Chef Diego, that I have never been a fan of Mexican food of the kind served in chains or fast food takeouts. However! The Adobe has created a next-level, Utopian pipe dream of deliciousness that shouts a labor-intense, labor-of-love passion for turning out something more than just ”food” by the . I am unable to pronounce most of the menu (see pics of curated food cocktail menus). You don’t even need to - just drink in the gorgeous presentations and dive in. Even the herbs used (and there were many) that I use daily in my own kitchen from my garden don’t smell or taste the same. The charred octopus, which many people have either never tasted nor wanted to, is glorious all by itself. The restaurant interior has been transformed into rustic elegance with light, bright openness, the service is provided by warm, friendly and efficient staff. Graciela Gonzalez was the El Mayor Brand Ambassador hosting the evening’s Tequila Tasting - gracious and knowledgeable about all things Tequila. The Staff working their magic were Cesar, as Server, Molly and Francisco at the Bar, and Ana and Ernesto in the kitchen assisting Chef Diego. Go! Taste! Enjoy! I promise you will return again and again!
