September 26, 2026Laverne FDON’T GET THE OYSTERS
The location is great right on inside of harbor most table facing ocean. Two levels of sitting. We had upstairs overlooking bay/harbor. Our waiter and bartender BEN and awesome. Friendly, kind and made an old fashioned to my husband’s picky taste (I make him one of the finest LOL). I tried a new fun drink the Kracken Dirty Sailor which I don’t normally go for something new but this again was very good fun and made well. On to our snack.. we ordered the dinner fried oyster plate thank goodness for the fries, that’s all on the little tin plate and a red something sauce? And a bite of slaw??? The oysters were BAD SLIMY AND NOT DONE! Green slime came out when you cut into them. Made my stomach go on a swirl! Obviously someone didn’t know how to choose good oysters or they were just bad. They use panko crust and they looked delicious when served but were NOT GOOD! When asked how the oysters were we were very kind and explained to Ben his drinks were great but the oysters oh my..he said 1 for 2 not bad 🫢. We weren’t looking 👀 to get anything for free but perhaps “can we make it up and get you something else?” When we looked around at other plates nothing said oh my would you look at that burger or sandwich..not impressed with the food but the drinks were just fine!

We all had something different, and each dish was very good. The Cole slaw was exceptional. All the fish was very hot and very fresh. The service was also Rey good.

Not worth the time or money
First time in a couple of years. Food quality has really gone down. Wife had cod & chips, very greasy and tasted of old oil. I had turkey bacon cheddar sandwich. Bacon was almost raw so took that off. Sandwich came grilled so was very greasy and so much cheese you could not taste the turkey. Both sets of fries looked like they had been cooked several times. All in all, no reason to go back

Went for my wedding anniversary with my wife, person at the door didn’t acknowledge us at the wait to be seated sign. Finally got sent upstairs to the bar, bar was filled with dirty dishes waited 10 minutes before we finally saw an empty table. Waited 15 minutes for service, finally went to bar again only to hear the staff complaining about us sitting at the empty table, we preceded to leave and go to the Sea Hag. The staff was fantastic and service was prompt. Do not go to Depoe Bay Brewery, you will only be disappointed by the attitude of the staff. If I could I would give them a negative 5star review.
