Good advice from the Motel

This place came highly recommended from the guest host at the Whistling Winds Motel and I'm glad we took her advice. Fun pub atmosphere, good beer and the food was good too. Service was delightful, everyone seems to enjoy working at this place. I had the prime rib special and the hubs had the fish and chips. Both were outstanding.

What a place

The Rusty Truck was a great place to end our day. We went on Wednesday and had the special of Steak and Prawns. Absolutely fantastic food. We also got a flight of beer and our choices were a nice mix with the meal. The service was fast and friendly. This was across the street from our motel so a very easy walk. I highly recommend this establishment.

Good pizza!

COVID took its toll on many businesses. Rusty Truck was just one. I don't know if the issue is lack of customers or difficulty getting staff. We have been there several times over the years before and the food was super and the place was well staffed. The last time we went, the restaurant area was closed off so we had to eat in the bar. Our favorite foods were no longer on the menu: super fish tacos and fries covered in blue cheese and bacon. We had a very nice pizza and our granddaughter enjoyed her sandwich. We should probably go back and see if things have picked up.

Great eats

Went early on a Wednesday night. Not many folk there. The person serving was very friendly and helpful as was the chef who came out to talk. Service was quick. I had a 4 beer sampler (their dark beers) and a house salad. My wife and son had the steak and prawn special and it was well done. Great price for a very tender sirloin. All told it was a very good experience and I wish we had not waited 5 years to come. I am a traditional dark beer drinker, so while the beers tasted were very well made I am not a fan of flavored beers. We will come again, it is great value. Perhaps next time will be pizza Sunday...... The only comment I can think of is there is really no vegetarian\vegan option. But it is a bar and the food is great.
