Envisioned by three inspired founders, a little run-down beachfront building began its transformation into the international icon it is today. The only beachfront brewpub in the Pacific Northwest, this inviting establishment welcomes guests with tantalizing beer cuisine, intimate brewery tours and, arguably, the most incredible beach patio experience around. Gaze in awe at Oregon’s largest Haystack Rock. Watch the surfers. See the sun set. Order another beer.
Good food, great beer
Had to have fish and chips with a great view. Smallest fish pieces I have ever seen. The food was good though, beer was even better. Definitely not an inexpensive lunch, but on vacation it's worth it. Pay very close attention to where you park. Sunny day, the view is awesome.
Brews and views
Great location right on the water. We only ordered the cauliflower appetizer, but it was delicious. Beer was also above average. Great stop.
Old friends and fun times
Friends from Idaho have been vacationing on the Oregon Coast and asked me where I'd like to meet them for lunch as they traveled from Yachats to Seaside. (I live east of Rose Lodge). I suggested Pelican Pub in Pacific City and they were happy with that. The pub was busy but we were greeted with smiles, we were seated within the time frame given, our order taken in as timely a manner as possible and the food was delivered hot & correctly. Our server kept in touch even as hurried as she was, she was fun and engaging while not cloying. All the employees were friendly and we had a great lunch and a wonderful visit. I love Pelican and am eager for Siletz Bay to open! All-Gender-Restroom is cool.
So my family of 7 traveled to Pacific City for a long weekend March 10 to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday. Not everyone was in town until March 11th by 6 o’clock. I had called Pelican Brewing in Pacific City to make a reservation on March 10th for the 11th but was told they don’t do reservations. So when everyone got into town we made our way to the brewery for drinks & food. It was around 7:30 and when we got there the hostess told us that she could not seat us. She informed us that they closed at 10:00 and at this there was not a chance to seat us or serve dinner unless we wanted to order food to go. We told her we could break up the party if it would be easier to seat us or put us on a waiting list and she told us absolutely not and pushed the takeout menu in our face and told us rudely this was the only way to get food from them tonight. The interesting thing was she had just 3 people a head of us. .It was 7:30 and they close at 10:00(???) We left and found another place to eat. When we heading home we passed the brewery it was around 9:15pm and they still had there open sign on and people were going in. I understand that we’re coming out of a pandemic but if you are going to open for business then you should open for business for all. Also don’t have a very sharp tongue hostess at the front. We have always gone to Pelican Brewing when we are in Pacific City but that may change if they don’t change there ways!
Families welcome including in bathrooms!?
Chill spot. Food great. Beer greater lol. Just a heads up their restrooms are all gender inclusive. Only thing that separates you are the stalls. Bigger stalls are considered family stalls but when you gotta go you gotta go. Deal breaker for some families.
