Cool atmosphere and beer - but don’t expect great food or service
The aesthetics are amazing! Good beer. The food service and food itself are very lackluster and disappointing. We were very, very specific about food allergies in our group. We ordered my daughter plain pasta - no butter, no oil, no cheese, no garnish. I spelled it out to the server and said it twice. The dish came out with butter, green garnish, etc. I kindly reminded our server how we had specified our order. He just grabbed the plate, without apologizing. Then, when he brought it back out, the pasta was literally burned, charred with black all over it. Again, no apology. I wouldn’t be taking the time to write this if this was just a one off. But, this was the second time this happened. I suggest you train your serving staff and cooks on how to kindly and appropriately manage people’s simple food requests. Plain pasta is one of the simplest dishes you can make. There is no excuse. We ended up paying $$ for something my daughter couldn’t even try to eat - twice! Just not cool. Won’t be back.

Magnificent Monkless!
Our family loves Monkless! We started a 'Monkless Fan Club' after visiting a few times and enjoy the beer and atmosphere. Both locations are great for different reasons, we go to the location on Industrial Way in the evenings--for an energetic, yet relaxing vibe. And we love going to The Abbey at Monkless for Bingo, Trivia, and other events with friends. The food will likely exceed your expectations of a brewery.

Good Stop
Visited the bar as part of my “Bend Ale Trail” adventure. Staff were welcoming and friendly. I chose the FNG brew, and shared a Belgian cinnamon dessert - it was delicious.

Fun spot in Bend
We visit the Monkless every Summer when we come to visit Bend. We love this place, the outside dining is a favorite spot. We’ve learned over the years to arrive early if we want to be seated quickly. We arrived right at 5 on a Tuesday no problem, 5:45 on a Friday and line out the door (also a concert night). It’s a fun spot, beautiful views and everything we’ve ordered has been tasty. We enjoy getting a flight of beer and the chicken and waffles are a favorite. Staff are also very friendly and help picking out beer to pick out.
