Waterfront Brew
Local brewing company with a good bar and local merchandise served by staff who made GFs day by asking for ID. Beer was very strong so be careful. Located on the front with views across the river and a small outdoor terrace.

Call First!
Headed to the ABC to have a beverage after arriving only to find the door locked with open hours posted on that door, and a direction around to the tap room on the riverfront. Greeted there with folks sitting outside and the hostess saying we are closing in 15 minutes, no seating, one hour before their posted and advertised closing time, rudely. Then went to Fort George Brewery and glad they turned us away, you should leave too!

Better Try It and Hope For The Best
This is a large place with a wonderful view of the river and shipping. I've been here several times and very much like their beer. This time I ordered a cup of clam chowder and a tuna melt sandwich along with a pint of the amber ale. They were not very busy. The beer came quickly. I enjoyed the view and waited for the rest of the order. It did finally arrive at my table. The chowder was tasty and not very warm. The tuna melt was like something I have never seen before! It was two slices of bread with tuna and strips of 1" wide cheese and appeared to have been broiled somehow quite a while ago. It was not very appealing or very tasty. I should have taken a pic but I'm not very good at that. The total cost of lunch was $33.00. I felt a bit of a ripoff. There are other places to lunch in Astoria that await my reviews!

Horrible will never go back.
Ordered a beer with our food they asked what kind of ipa we wanted.. never got the beer so went up to get it. They then were extremely rude coming over saying we never paid for the beer like it was our fault. The food was the driest blandest food I’ve had in a while. Customer service 0!!!

Disappointed
First time in Astoria in a long time and looking forward to real (fresh/local) fish & chips. I ordered the 3 piece rock fish & my husband ordered the prawn basket. Priced somewhat higher than most, there was more than enough food in one meal for 2. But I didn't care for the strong flavor of the fish. (I've caught and eaten rockfish before, and this was not mild flavored.) Both of us agreed the prawns tasted better. Great, friendly service with a nice view of the river, but not enough of an incentive for a return visit.
