Had a great road trip to Cloverdale. Right on 101 is the shop and the dairy land and cows are in the fields behind. Plenty of parking. Super welcome by the staff. Made us feel right at home. Got 2 packages of cheese, sampled 8 more, all were great. Bought some Marionberry Jam. bought a pint of fresh made on request strawberry ice cream, many fruit options available. Had a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of vanilla to go. lots of local gifts to buy. We got a hand knitted Rooster that is so classic it will become a family heirloom. Looking forward to going back for years to come.

We stopped in on our way back home from Tillamook. It’s a very small shop with cheese and other touristy items. We tried a few samples and enjoyed the taste. One of the samples was called Hembree and the lady behind the counter said it was their version of. Havarti. Well it really isn’t. We also bought a couple of spicier cheeses as well. While the cheese was good, the prices aren’t. If you notice from the picture, the cheeses are between $23 and $25 a pound. For that kind of money, we would expect a fine aged cheese which these certainly are not.

Chocolate Ice Cream with Marion Berries!
Last year when my wife and I were driving south down US 101 in Oregon, I saw a Spinning Wheel Store in Cloverdale. We stopped and she went in and I and saw this across the street, so in I went to check out the cheese and the ice cream. It was very good! This year were going North and we did the same things! These people have great ice cream and great cheese! A great place to stop and eat!

Maybe 25 kinds of cheese- delicious- friendly place, don't miss if nearby
Wonderful friendly clerk. She was fantastic. The ice cream was expensive but very good. We bought one of every kind of cheese they had and have been delighted. Do not miss the garlic-herb curds-- oh my--- wish we bought more! They also sell some jams and things and odds and ends including a few books, but the cheese is the reason to go--and the friendly clerk!

Home made ice cream- simple and delicious
Saw a small ice cream sign along 101 and took a chance that turned to be the best find on the entire trip. Amazing ice cream made with real fruit right on the spot. The ice cream was so creamy and smooth. Probably some of the best I've ever had-which is saying something. Options are vanilla or chocolate with about 3 choices of optional fruit mix ins- simple and delicious. Way better than any of those 'fancy' ice cream stores in larger cities. The hostess was so enthusiastic about the ice cream and cheese for good reason. Super friendly and excited that you are there- some what hole in the wall, but probably not for long. Will return anytime Im near by.
