The price of the wine tasting flights was not clearly noted in the tasting room. The three of us split two and sat outside. The nose on every single pour was severely "off" -- a very chemically smell. We thought perhaps some detergent had been left in a glass, but all three glasses? One of the wines had definitely turned. None of the wines were good and we dumped most of them after the first taste. This is very rare for us. We paid an unusually high $15 per tasting, as if this was a known label in Napa. It's too bad -- we really wanted to enjoy this place. If you have no clue about wines, you might be very happy here. If you know your wines and have a reasonably knowledgeable palate, skip it. I truly hope it was an "off day" or an "off year" but at $15 per tasting to go out of our way, we won't be back to find out.
We discovered EdenVale because they are ‘Harvest Hosts’ and will accommodate an overnight RV stay for Harvest Host members. This review is for both the winery and the Harvest Host experience… EdenVale Winery is a 5 star Harvest Host experience that RVers will love. Note: in wet weather, which is often in these parts, you’ll be very happy to have four wheel drive. The grassy field alongside the pear orchard where you’ll park your RV is, well, a grassy field. The setting is quiet and bucolic and a short stroll to the main house and nearby tasting room. The wine tasting experience: The staff (Emily, Jenny, Nino) immediately made us feel relaxed and genuinely welcomed. The white and red wines and warm ciders were delicious. We order the Charcuterie Plate: Served with crostini and fresh bread. Delicious! So many have commented on the interesting history, beauty and ambiance of this place and we echo those impressions. All in all, we feel very grateful to have experienced EdenVale and hope to visit again and often.
BEST wine, BEST service and BEST tasting experience in the area- and we visiting all vineyards. Lisa was the BEST! Edenvale wine is delicious! We’re going back for more!
EdenVale Winery is a great place to relax with wonderful wines and a Great Staff to help find the type of wine your prefer and take it to new heights..Attended several concerts there and this beautiful location & winery will Not disappoint.
Beautiful experience, incredible wines and the wine staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The only reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars, was because they did not wave the tasting fee and the payment app asked for a tip (he was worth a tip, but this is not cool). Like most other wineries, if you spend over $200, the tasting fee should definitely be waved!
